Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
People have different mindsets about professionals. Some believe they should work in the country where they completed their training, while others argue that they should have a liberty to work in another country. This essay will discuss both point of views in detail with appropriate examples and in the end I will present my own opinion.
On the one hand, professional workers should promote their skills and knowledge in the country where they are trained. Today, the world is facing with harmful and deadly diseases and required doctors to cure them. If doctors work in the country in which they are educated, they can cure the patients. Moreover, they can mitigate the effects of brutal diseases and save lives. As a result, countries can achieve great doctors which act as a life saver for the people. Additionally, engineers play a vital role in the overall economy of the country. If engineers work in the same country in which they are trained, they can build good artifects, reduce pollution emiting from the industrial sites and can deliver robust engineering solutions. In this way, countries can present precious building models to the country and can make the environment less-polluted.
On the other hand, workers should be able to work freely in other countries because when professionals are migrated to another country they can give their skills better, get good sources of revenue, and can promote their countries in which they are trained. Doctors can help heart patients and can reduce heart diseases. In this way, other countries can get good heart doctors. Furthermore, engineers can build good flyovers which can enhance the traffic environment. By this, other countries can achieve good engineers and constructors.
I believe professionals should work in the country in which they are trained because the country can get more workers which enhance the overall economy of that country.
Overall, professionals can work in the same country to promote their skills and give advantage to the country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and state a clear preference for professionals to remain in the country where they trained. The discussion of doctors and engineers is relevant, and examples such as treating patients and building flyovers help illustrate the topic. However, the reasons are often asserted rather than explained: for instance, the claim that trained doctors can “cure the patients” does not show why they should be required to stay, and the benefits of working abroad are mostly listed rather than developed. Your conclusion repeats your preference but does not weigh the competing arguments. Explain the consequences of each position more fully and connect your examples directly to the question of whether professionals should be free to move.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a concluding opinion. Signposting such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “Overall” makes the progression easy to follow. However, some links are mechanical, and ideas within paragraphs are not always connected clearly. For example, “By this” introduces the result of engineers building flyovers, but the relationship is vague; similarly, the final paragraph largely repeats the introduction and conclusion. Use more precise referencing and explain how each example supports the paragraph’s main point. A more developed comparison before the conclusion would also create a stronger progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “mitigate,” “industrial sites,” “robust engineering solutions,” and “overall economy,” showing an attempt to go beyond basic wording. However, the range is limited by repeated general terms such as “good,” “country,” and “work,” while several choices are inaccurate or unnatural: “a liberty,” “achieve great doctors,” and “good sources of revenue.” There are also spelling errors, including “artifects” and “emiting.” These choices sometimes make the intended meaning less precise. Build a more accurate range of collocations for migration, public services, and professional expertise, and check spelling and word forms during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple sentences and longer conditional structures, such as “If engineers work in the same country in which they are trained, they can build…” This shows some ability to form complex sentences, and the main message remains understandable. However, some grammatical errors recur, including “both point of views” and “the world is facing with… and required doctors,” where the structure and verb forms are faulty. There are also problems with articles and sentence construction, as in “countries can achieve great doctors which act as a life saver.” Review agreement, verb forms, and article use, and make sure longer sentences have a clear grammatical structure. More consistently accurate complex sentences would strengthen the response.
