Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both sides of the discussion and state your view: you explain that governments invest in professional education, then argue that workers should be free to move abroad for better pay, skills and experience. The conclusion repeats this preference, so your position is present. However, the ideas are only partly developed. The examples about doctors treating patients and engineers building infrastructure describe their work more than they explain why they should be required to stay. The benefits of working abroad are also listed rather than supported with a specific example or fuller explanation. To strengthen the response, explain the competing arguments more directly and develop each with a clear cause-and-effect explanation or relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “on the other hand” help signal the change in viewpoint. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow because several points are joined together without clear sentence boundaries. For example, the paragraph about working abroad moves from applying for jobs to salaries, family support, skills and success in one long sequence. Some linking phrases are also repetitive, and references such as “this way” do not clearly identify which benefit is being summarised. Use shorter, clearly separated sentences, organise each paragraph around one main claim, and connect examples explicitly to that claim.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “professionals,” “universities,” “salaries,” “skills” and “experience,” and the reader can generally identify the main ideas. However, the range is basic and repetitive, and frequent spelling and word-choice errors sometimes make meaning difficult to interpret. Examples include “countery,” “eduction,” “accomadtion” and “conduction”; phrases such as “improve to skills” and “get more gain experience” are also not natural English collocations. Build a more accurate set of phrases for discussing employment and migration, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise expressions would help you explain the arguments without relying repeatedly on general words such as “good,” “help” and “things.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to express connected ideas and use some longer sentence forms, but control of sentence structure is limited. Errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence boundaries occur frequently and can make the reader work to understand the message. For instance, “after complete studies they can work” needs a correctly formed verb, while “some countries gives” has a subject–verb agreement error. Several clauses run together without full stops, as in the paragraph beginning “on the other hand i believe.” Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with conjunctions such as “because” and “although.” Check that each sentence has a clear subject and verb, and use punctuation to separate complete ideas.
