Student answer (Band 5.5)

Few peoples believe that pofessionals, such as doctors and engineers, should work in another country, although they have recievied their education from their home country. Howevery, some people oppose this view as they think the skills they have accquired are only to be used in their country where they have recieved training.

On one hand, people who are very strict with their families or childrens often believe that they should do act according to their circumstances. That is why most of the profesionals in their country cannot go abroad to express their skils. As a result, our world has many less-recognised skilled professionals which are forced to continue their profession as per others will. For example, country like India have many cultures. Different cultures have their own rules and regulations, eventually hidings those talented peoples from the world. Some people also believe that, the study or training they have received are only to be performed in their home country, as to preserve their techniques and unique skills making their own country special from others.

On the other hand, people who believe that, gaining knowledge and having their own freedom should be a right to every person in the world. Professionals like doctors and engineers should express their unique skills and talents to the other countries. Many people could also be helpful by that, which changes their lives. For example, countries like Unites States and many other districts gives opportunities to people for expressing their talents to the world which may be helpful to other kinds. I prefer that every professional should be free to work in another country if they wish. It could also be benificial for their financial and educational growth.

In conclusion, I believe that professionals like doctors and engineers should not be stopped from working in another country besides they have received skills from their home country. Therefore, people should share their knowledge and skills to the world keeping their own selfishness aside.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both views and state your own position clearly in the final body paragraph and conclusion: you support professionals being free to work abroad. The second view is supported with the idea that their skills can help people elsewhere, while the first is linked to preserving national techniques. However, the first view is not represented accurately or developed in a focused way: the opening refers to professionals working abroad, and the paragraph shifts to family strictness and cultural rules rather than explaining why trained professionals might owe service to their country. The examples about India and the United States are broad and do not clearly demonstrate the claims. Develop each side with a direct reason and a specific, relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “On one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and some links between ideas are unclear. For instance, the move from strict families to professionals being unable to go abroad is not explained, while “which changes their lives” has an unclear reference. The conclusion repeats the opinion but adds the vague phrase “keeping their own selfishness aside,” which does not follow clearly from the discussion. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the point it supports.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “professionals,” “training,” “unique skills,” and “financial and educational growth.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts difficult to interpret. For example, “express their skills” is not a natural way to describe applying expertise, and “many less-recognised skilled professionals” is unclear in context. There are also frequent spelling errors, including “pofessionals,” “recievied,” “acquired,” and “benificial,” which reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural phrases and check spelling carefully. Replacing vague expressions such as “other kinds” with a specific group or benefit would also make your meaning clearer.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a relative clause in “professionals … which are forced to continue” and a reason clause beginning “as they think.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. Examples include “people … believe that they should do act,” “country like India have,” and “countries … gives opportunities,” where verb forms or subject–verb agreement are incorrect. Articles and plural forms also need attention, as in “the study or training … are” and “a country like India.” Some commas interrupt sentence patterns, particularly after “believe that.” Practise building accurate clauses first, then combine them, checking agreement and sentence boundaries.
