Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

If the professionals such as doctors and engineers start working in the country from where they get the training they do not need to attend extra saminars and meeting of locls organisations to understand the conditions of that area because they know all the situations that they face during their training time and in the opinions of those people who believe professionals have to work in the country in which they get the training, they thought the proffesionals knew the conditions and problems of the country from where they get the training so they had to work in that country which is better. On the other hands, in the opinion of the people who believe that professionals can move across the world for work regardless of the country from where they get the training ,they think if a professional has taken all the training of one profession then he can tackle with all the problems and situations related to that profession everywhere. In my view, it is better for professional to work in the country where the get the training becuse they already know all the situations of that area so they can easily start work after training in that country. Many Engineers of our country feel difficulty during work in Dubai because they get the training about the hard and moist land or the hard land near Sea but there they have to face different situation because It is full desert near Sea.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You discuss both positions and state your preference: you explain that locally trained professionals understand the country’s conditions, while the opposing view is that their training equips them to work anywhere. However, the discussion is only partial and the ideas remain under-developed. The claim that professionals can “tackle with all the problems” is not supported with an example or explanation, and your own view largely repeats the first argument. The Dubai example is relevant, but its meaning is difficult to follow and it does not clearly show why professionals should be required to stay in the training country. The response also falls short of the required 250 words. Develop each side with a clear reason and a specific, explained example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has a recognisable sequence: it presents the case for working in the training country, introduces the opposing view with “On the other hands,” and then gives your opinion and an example. These signposts help readers identify the main stages. However, the whole response is one long paragraph, and the first sentence combines several ideas, making the progression difficult to follow. Linking phrases are limited and sometimes awkward, while repeated references to “the country” and “the training” do not always make relationships clear. Use separate paragraphs for each view, your opinion, and the example; then connect shorter, clearly focused sentences with accurate transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “professionals,” “training,” “conditions,” and “situations,” so the main subject is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or misspelled expressions make the writing less clear. For example, “attend extra saminars and meeting of locls organisations” contains spelling and word-form problems, while “tackle with all the problems” is an unnatural collocation. “Hard and moist land” and “full desert” also make the Dubai example difficult to interpret precisely. Build a more accurate range for discussing employment and professional skills, and check spelling and collocations carefully. Prefer precise terms such as “local working conditions” and “adapt to different environments.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt complex sentences, particularly when explaining why locally trained professionals may be familiar with regional conditions. However, these structures are often faulty or overloaded, as in the opening sentence, where several clauses are joined without clear control. There are frequent problems with articles, agreement, and verb forms: “the professionals,” “they thought the professionals knew,” and “where the get the training” illustrate these issues. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention; the final example runs together several points, and “because It” incorrectly capitalises the pronoun after a comma. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses using “because,” “although,” and “while.”
