Student answer (Band 5.0)

Some individuals belief that doctors and engineers, should have to work in the country where they did thier training. Other people believe that if they want to work in another country should be free because they have freedom to choice where they want to wok.

On the one hand, professionals should work in the country where they received theri training because government gives them facilities and they are not interesting to learn other languages. For example, if someone is Pakistani professional he or she wants to work in Italy they should have to learn italian. If they are not interested to learn italian they may face difficulties, because in Italy people usually speak italian. For example, in a company of 50 people hardly only 1 person you can see who understand and speak english.

On the other hand, professionals such as doctors and engineers they should work in another country if they wish. This is because may be in another country they may find better salaries, working conditions and career opportunities abroad. For example, an engineer may move to another country to improve thier skills and learn about new tecnologies. They are also able to know how fast other countries are changing and how professionals are working hard.

In conclusion, although professionals can help the country where they recevied their training. They have freedom, if they want to explore other countries and want to improve their knowledge.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You discuss both views and give a position: the first body paragraph argues that professionals should work where they trained, while the second supports their freedom to move for better salaries and career opportunities. However, the first argument is not fully convincing: the point about learning Italian explains a practical challenge of moving, rather than why professionals should be required to remain. Your conclusion also says they have freedom to explore, but does not clearly weigh this against the country’s investment in their training. The response is 227 words, so it is 23 words below the required minimum; the eight words copied from the prompt are not counted. Develop the reasons and examples further to address the task more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. The signposts “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help readers follow the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes weak: the first paragraph moves from government facilities to language difficulties without clearly connecting these points to the requirement to work in the training country. Repeating “For example” also makes the linking feel mechanical, and the conclusion is brief rather than bringing the two arguments together. Use clearer links between each reason and its supporting example, and make the final paragraph summarise how you balance the competing views.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “professionals,” “working conditions,” “career opportunities,” and “improve their skills,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, spelling, and word-form errors reduce precision: “belief” is used where the verb “believe” is needed, “freedom to choice” is unnatural, and “tecnologies” is misspelled. Phrases such as “hardly only 1 person” are also unclear. Aim for accurate collocations and vary repeated wording such as “work” and “another country.” More precise vocabulary would help express the arguments without changing their meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a conditional example beginning “if someone is Pakistani professional” and a reason introduced by “This is because.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “if they want to work in another country should be free” lacks a clear subject in the main clause, while “professionals such as doctors and engineers they should work” repeats the subject. There are also problems with articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, as in “a company of 50 people hardly only 1 person you can see.” Practise building complete clauses and checking subject–verb agreement and punctuation.
