Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is debated that whether the professional including doctors and engineers, should be required to work in the country where they did training or they should have freedom to work in any nation they wish. Although it is better to work in a place where they did training because they are fimilar to policy of that place, I firmly believe they should have free to work because many people do not have a good education in their nation.

One major aspect of working in a nation where they had trained is that they are familar to policy and system of that particular nation. In other words, countries do have different rules and regulation so it can be hard for many people who got trained in other nation. For instance, many people of Nepal go to India for studying and training CA. However, the financial and economicL policy is different between two nation. Consequently, people who got their academic certificate and trained in India can not work in government job of Nepal. Therefore, in some aspect it is better to work in a corresponding countries because some policy are not suitable for them.

On the other hand, many people go to abroad for study and to do training because their countries do not have suitable infrastructures and institute. This is why students from developing and undeveloped nation go to other nation for study. For example, the huge number of medical students from Nepal go to Bangladesh every year to pursue study because cost of study in Nepal is a hassle for them and very high. So, they have to go out justto study if we force them to work their then it will be inconvenient for them.

In conclusion, although in some profession it is better to work where they are training because policy can impact significantly, I firmly concur that it is inconvenient for those who go abroad due to lack of infrastructures and institutions.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You discuss both views and make your position clear: you acknowledge that working in the training country can help professionals understand its policies, but argue that they should be free to work elsewhere. The examples about Nepali students training in India and studying medicine in Bangladesh are relevant. However, the first view is developed more clearly than the second: the Bangladesh example explains why students leave to study, but does not fully show why they should be allowed to choose where to work after qualifying. The point about Nepalese CA graduates being unable to work in government jobs also needs clearer explanation and a more direct link to the question. Develop each side with a specific reason and show how it supports your position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. The progression from the policy argument to the freedom argument is easy to follow, and signposts such as “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help orient the reader. This coherent organisation is a strength. Some connections, however, are mechanical or unclear. For example, “This is why students from developing and undeveloped nation go to other nation for study” repeats the preceding idea rather than extending it, while “Therefore, in some aspect” does not clearly specify which aspect is meant. The conclusion also largely repeats the introduction. Use more precise referencing and develop links between examples and claims to make the progression more fluent.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “infrastructures,” “financial and economic policy,” and “academic certificate,” and the reader can generally understand your main points. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, which sometimes makes meaning less clear. Examples include “fimilar/familar to policy,” “a hassle for them,” and “they should have free to work.” “Nation” and “study” are also repeated frequently, and spelling slips such as “justto” and “can not” reduce control. Aim for more precise phrases for professional qualifications, training systems, and barriers to education, and check spelling and collocations during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “Although,” “because,” and “if,” and most of the argument remains understandable. However, some sentence structures and grammatical forms are inaccurate. For example, “It is debated that whether” has an unnecessary “that,” and “they should have free to work” needs a different construction, such as “they should be free to work.” There are also issues with articles, plurals, and agreement in “different rules and regulation,” “between two nation,” and “some policy are.” The long sentence beginning “For example, the huge number…” would benefit from clearer clause structure and punctuation. Practise accurate complex sentences and check agreement and articles in each draft.
