Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You identify both sides of the issue: professionals may work where they trained, while others may seek jobs abroad, and you give a personal preference for working overseas. However, the response addresses the task only minimally. The reasons—better pay, a better life, and feeling unsafe—are mentioned but not explained or supported with examples. The claim that those who stay are “true” people who sacrifice for their country is also asserted rather than developed, and your own position is difficult to distinguish from the discussion of both views. The response is also below the required 250 words. To improve, explain each viewpoint in detail, give a relevant example, and state your opinion clearly in a conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5
There is a basic attempt to contrast the two views, signalled by “on the other side,” and the response moves from working abroad to staying in one’s country. However, it is presented as one long sentence-like sequence rather than a clearly organised essay, so the reader has difficulty following how the ideas relate. Several points are joined with “and” or “but” without clear boundaries, and there are no paragraphs to separate the opposing views and your opinion. The reference in “those people” is also not fully clear. Use separate paragraphs for each view and your position, and connect ideas with precise transitions such as “One reason is…” and “By contrast…”.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “doctors,” “engineer,” “professional job,” “abroad,” and “country,” and phrases such as “better life” communicate your general meaning. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms make the message difficult to understand, including “do there job,” “the reason is neet and clean,” and “facilate to the people.” Spelling errors such as “veiw,” “foriegn,” and “sacrifce” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise collocations, for example, “work in the country where they trained,” “seek higher salaries,” and “contribute to their home country.” Check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response shows an attempt to connect ideas in longer structures, using “but,” “because,” and “that why,” but sentence control is weak. The opening has agreement and plural problems in “doctors and engineer do there job,” while “where they studied there profession” has an unclear grammatical relationship between the clauses. The response also lacks sentence boundaries and punctuation, making several ideas run together. Articles, possessives, and verb forms need attention; for example, “those who do there job” should use a possessive form, and “that why” needs a complete linking construction. Practise writing short, complete sentences first, then combine them accurately using subordinate clauses.
