Student answer (Band 5.5)
There is an ongoing debate on whether doctors and engineers should be only allowed to work in a country where they have completed their training. Others argue that they should be independent to work in any country they wish. I firmly agree with the latter view that they should be free to work in any country of their wish.
On the one hand, people believe that professionals such as doctors and engineers should serve the country where they have completed their traning becuase of various reasons such as, training varies from one country to another country. They will face difficulty in learning the new ways of working in different country. Another reason could be, it should be their duty to serve the country where they have got their training from and not move into different country. This may happen because they want to save the talent for their own country and use it for the development.
On the other hand, the latter view states that, they should be free to work in any country
according to their wish. People are free to move abroad and choose their passion in any other respective professionals also, so there should not be a bias for these professionals. In many countries doctors and engineers have to pass a exam before practising there which evaluates their training and it is safe for them to work afterwards.
In conclusion, the former view state that doctors and engineers should work in their country only from where they have completed their education, while latter view state, they have their free will to move in any country they want. I strongly agree with the latter view that every individual have their own free will.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both positions and state your own view clearly in the introduction and conclusion: you support professionals being free to work abroad. The discussion is relevant, but the reasons are brief and not fully explained. For example, you say training differs between countries and that professionals have a duty to serve the country that trained them, but you do not give a specific example or explain how these points affect the countries involved. Your argument for freedom is also only partly developed: the licensing exam is relevant, but its role in ensuring competence could be explained further. The conclusion repeats the two views rather than drawing together the reasons for your position. Develop each main point with explanation or an example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. The signposts “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help readers follow the discussion, and your position is easy to identify. However, progression within paragraphs is limited: several reasons are listed without being connected through explanation, and the conclusion largely restates earlier points. Some linking is awkward or repetitive, as in “Another reason could be” and “This may happen because.” The phrase “the latter view” is also used repeatedly, which makes the writing feel mechanical. Build clearer links between each claim and its supporting explanation, and use references or transitions more naturally.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “professionals,” “training,” “development,” and “practising.” However, the range is limited and several phrases are imprecise or unnatural, such as “independent to work,” “in any country of their wish,” and “choose their passion in any other respective professionals.” These expressions make some points harder to understand. There are also spelling errors, including “traning” and “becuase,” and the wording “a exam” is inaccurate. Aim for more precise collocations and check spelling carefully. Replacing repeated general phrases with terms such as “qualified professionals” or “professional licensing requirements” would make the argument clearer and more appropriate to the topic.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “because” and “which,” and the overall meaning is generally understandable. However, errors occur frequently in sentence structure and grammatical forms. For example, “they should be independent to work” has an incorrect construction, while “the former view state” and “every individual have” show subject–verb agreement problems. Articles and prepositions are also often inaccurate, as in “pass a exam” and “move in any country.” Punctuation is sometimes awkward, particularly the comma after “states that” and the sentence break in the second body paragraph. Practise accurate sentence patterns and check agreement, articles, and prepositions when editing.
