Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
From my point of view, I can agree partially with both views about doctors and engineers that they have to work in the country where they were trained, as well as they have the free will to move to another country.
Doctors and engineers are essential in every contry. Their work require a lot of effort from individuals who choose one of these two careers but alos a lot of money for university debt. In some countries, students who achived a good mark at their admission exam, can get a tax free program of study, like in Romania. When they graduate, even if they got a scholarship program, they can move to another country to practice medicine or anything else. This aspect is a bit individualistic, because the state gave them finace to become profesionals and trained them and expect nothig from them. I think it will be fair for the profesionist to pursue work in the contry where he did his specialty for a few years to contribute by their knowledge to produce money for the country that trained them and spent money for. This can be a fair point of view.
On the other hand, profesionist who did their work by themself can choose whatever the country they want because they didn't got any finacial support by the state. Also the one who got a scholarship have to retrun the money that they got from the state to leave the cance to another student to study tax free.
A solution for this kind of problem, can be resolved by a normative act that ask the future profesionist if they want to live in the country where they studied or they will think about moving to another country after graduation. In this way, the students can choose a pathway as they wish to and the state doesn't lose money on scholarships for people who'll leave the country after graduation anyway.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both views and give a qualified position: you support a period of service for publicly funded graduates while allowing self-funded professionals to choose where they work. The Romania example and the proposed agreement at the start of study make the response relevant and show some development beyond simply stating an opinion. However, the two sides are not explored equally: the case for professionals’ freedom is mainly linked to whether they received state funding, rather than considering broader reasons such as career opportunities or personal choice. The proposed solution also needs clearer explanation of how the commitment would work and what happens if circumstances change. This covers the task well overall, but fuller development and support for each view would strengthen it further.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph supporting a service obligation, a contrasting paragraph about freedom, and a concluding proposal. Transitions such as “On the other hand” and “A solution” help signal the direction of the argument. Within paragraphs, however, some links are mechanical or unclear. For example, “This aspect is a bit individualistic” does not clearly identify which aspect it refers to, and the shift from scholarship funding to repayment in the next paragraph could be explained more explicitly. The final paragraph introduces a useful solution, but its connection to the preceding arguments could be made more precise. Clearer referencing and more deliberate links between claims and examples would improve progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “scholarship,” “state,” “trained,” and “contribute,” and the meaning is generally understandable. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “pursue work” and “normative act.” However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “contry,” “finace,” “profesionals,” and “nothig,” and some combinations are unnatural, such as “tax free program of study” and “did their work by themself.” Repetition of “country,” “state,” and “student” also limits flexibility. Aim to learn accurate spelling and natural collocations as complete phrases, and choose vocabulary that expresses the intended meaning precisely.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex structures, including conditional and relative clauses, and the main argument remains understandable. Some sentences are controlled, such as “When they graduate, even if they got a scholarship program, they can move to another country.” However, there are several grammatical errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “Their work require” needs subject–verb agreement, “they didn't got” uses an incorrect verb form, and “a normative act that ask” has an agreement error. The opening sentence is also awkwardly constructed, while the comma after “problem” disrupts the final sentence. Review agreement and past-tense forms, and edit complex sentences to ensure each clause is complete and correctly connected.
