Student answer (Band 6.0)

There is an ongoing argument regarding whether the doctors are suppose to do job in the countries they get to trained in or they may choose where to work themselves. I believe it should be for them to decide where they wanna practice their skills.

When it comes to being a healthcare professional, there comes a long list of SOPs that can't be compromised. The location of the work and population under observation are two factors that goes hand in hand. If a doctor learned their work in one country, they get to understand the major health issues and treatments related to the people of that particular country quite better than the one they never worked in. So working in same country where a doctor studied, becomes automatically a plus point.

On the other hand, considering the hectic job of being a doctor, having no choice of country you're working in, can be catastrophic. If a doctor think their career can take a leap in another country but they're struck in the country they got educated in, this thought process can take a toll on their mental health. No human should be chained to one location just because of some policy. People are tend to perform more passionately when they're in environment of their own choice, so will the doctors. Working in hospitals of the country of their interest can automatically make them more enthusiast towards their field of work

In conclusion, setting doctors up for engagement in certain countries where they don't wanna work in, doesn't sound ethically right. So, like every other adult, theh should be independent in selecting the country where they wanna utilize their skills.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both views and state a clear opinion: professionals should choose where to work. The point that doctors trained locally may understand the population’s health needs is relevant, as is your argument that restricting choice could affect motivation and mental well-being. However, the two sides are not developed equally: the benefit of local training is explained briefly, while the case for freedom receives more attention. The discussion also focuses almost entirely on doctors, although the prompt includes other professionals such as engineers. To strengthen the response, develop each view with a specific example and explain how the same reasoning applies to another profession. Your conclusion restates your position clearly, but could draw together the competing considerations more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the argument, and the ideas within each paragraph generally relate to its main point. Some connections are less clear or feel mechanical, however. For example, “The location of the work and population under observation are two factors that goes hand in hand” does not clearly explain how the factors connect to the argument. The second body paragraph also moves from career prospects to mental health and then motivation without fully linking these points. Use clearer topic sentences and add explicit explanations between supporting ideas to make progression smoother.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a range of relevant vocabulary, including “healthcare professional,” “population,” “mental health,” and “ethically,” and these choices make the main ideas understandable. There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “take a toll,” though some phrasing is inaccurate or too informal for an academic essay. Examples include “wanna,” “struck in the country,” and “more enthusiast,” which weaken precision and register. “SOPs” is also unclear in this context and does not help explain the professional obligations you mean. Aim for natural collocations and consistent formal language; for instance, describe professionals as being “required to remain” or “free to practise abroad.” Proofreading spelling and word forms would further improve control.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “If a doctor learned their work in one country…” and a subordinate clause beginning “just because of some policy.” The overall meaning is usually clear, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “doctors are suppose” should use the correct participle, “factors that goes” has a subject–verb agreement problem, and “If a doctor think” needs agreement between the subject and verb. There are also issues with articles and sentence construction in “working in same country” and “People are tend to perform.” Review agreement, verb forms, and article use, then proofread each sentence. More accurate control of these patterns would make your varied sentence structures easier to follow.
