Student answer (Band 5.5)

Some people opine that experts should work in a country, where they completed their graduation, whereas others postulate that they should have freedom to work in another place. So, in the forthcoming paragraphs, I have suggested some reasons associated with this trend and, I have included my stand at the end.

On the one hand, experts work at that area, where they were finishing their studies can be more beneficial in some aspects such as financial and relations. If a doctor opend clinic in a area where they have identity by which several patients sharing contacts of doctor and advice other citizens for better treatment, medication and easy availibility. This can lead to finanacial benefit and a good reputation among residents.

On the other hand, experts have more opportunities and good facilities if they move to other place rather than working at a place, where they completed their training. Sometimes, experts cannot find well facilities and also a good place for work because of direct placement in nearby area, where they studied. Theresore, they become less valuable in local areas and roaming under their expectations. So, it is more fruitful to work in other country. As a result, they are gaining more reputation and appropriate treatments from strangers.

In my opinion, it should be a best idea to work in another country because they get a chance to make a good impression among unknown individuals despite not having a good identity between people in their training campus.

To conclude, working in the same country or in another country, both have approriate advantages. If professionals work in a same country so they get more work and have a chance to become well-known. Also, those, who work in a different country can have more opportunities and a chance to build a good chracter among society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both views and state your preference for working abroad, so the main parts of the prompt are present. However, the position is not fully clear or consistently supported: the introduction says you will give your view “at the end,” and the conclusion presents advantages of both options without firmly reinforcing why you favour another country. The supporting ideas are also limited. The example about a doctor gaining patients through local contacts is relevant to staying, but the argument for moving abroad relies mainly on “more opportunities” and “good facilities,” without explaining what these might be or giving a concrete example. Develop each side with clearer reasons and support, and make your opinion explicit throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “To conclude” make the direction of the discussion easy to follow. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some effective progression. However, links can feel mechanical, and some references are unclear—for example, “they become less valuable in local areas and roaming under their expectations” does not clearly connect the preceding point to the conclusion. The opinion paragraph also repeats the idea of making a good impression rather than advancing the argument. Use clearer links between cause and result, and ensure each paragraph adds a distinct point.

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “professionals,” “training,” “opportunities,” “reputation,” and “treatment,” and you attempt more formal alternatives such as “opine” and “postulate.” However, the range is limited and several choices or combinations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to follow. For instance, “experts work at that area” and “appropriate treatments from strangers” do not express the intended ideas naturally; “financial benefit” is also misspelled as “finanacial.” Repeated use of “good” and “place” further limits precision. Aim for accurate, natural collocations rather than unusually formal synonyms, and check spelling and word forms. More precise vocabulary would help explain the benefits of local practice and international work.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “If professionals work in the same country…” and a relative clause beginning “where they completed their training.” However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty, so the reader must sometimes work to understand the relationships between ideas. For example, “If a doctor opend clinic in a area…” has problems with article use and sentence construction, while “experts work at that area, where they were finishing their studies can be more beneficial” lacks a clear grammatical structure. There are also errors in agreement and verb forms, such as “patients sharing contacts” and “they are gaining.” Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly connected subordinate clause, then check articles, verb forms, and punctuation.
