Student answer (Band 5.5)

There is a believe of some people that specialist, like doctors and engineers, should work in the country where they did their practice. Other believe that they should work according to their will in any country. In this I will discuss both the views and will give my opinion.

Examing the brighter side, the believe of some people that professionals like doctors and engineers should work in the country where they did their training is not wrong becaues in this way you will get to know about the problems and advantages of your own country and can try to resolve the problems. Additionally, in most of the cases the pay in the country where you have done your traning is not adequate which is not good. For example, my uncle is an engineer and he wanted to work in the country where he has done his training because in his view he can do more good in the country from where he has taken the training.

Now, the other believe that they should be free to work any where they want is also valid because one should work their, where one wanted to because this will give one the peace of mind and the determination to work with passion. Furthermore, maybe the facilities and income would be better than the country in which the have done their traning. For instance, my ant was a doctor here she did their traning here but she wanted to work in canada.

To conclude, I have discussed both the views. In my opinion one should work their where one is comfortable, happy and satisfeid.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both positions and give a clear personal view in the conclusion: you favour allowing professionals to work where they feel comfortable and happy. The examples about your uncle and aunt are relevant, and you offer reasons such as contributing to one’s home country and seeking better facilities or income elsewhere. However, the ideas are only briefly explained. The point about inadequate pay in the training country, for example, is not clearly connected to the argument for staying there, and the aunt’s example is not developed beyond her wish to work in Canada. Explain the consequences of each view and make your own position more explicit throughout, rather than mainly in the conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow the broad direction of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and several links feel mechanical or unclear. Phrases such as “Examing the brighter side” and “Now, the other believe” announce the next point without showing how the ideas relate. The conclusion mostly repeats that both views were discussed rather than drawing the reasoning together. Use clearer topic sentences, then connect each reason to its example and explain what the example demonstrates. Also make references such as “they” and “one” more precise so the reader can easily identify who is being discussed.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “professionals,” “training,” “facilities,” “income,” and “peace of mind.” However, the range is limited and several noticeable word-choice, spelling, and collocation errors make the writing less natural. Examples include “There is a believe,” “Examing,” “traning,” and “satisfeid”; “my ant” also appears to be an inaccurate word choice. Repetition of “believe,” “work,” and “country” further restricts expression. Build a more precise set of phrases for discussing professional migration and public benefit, and check spelling carefully. More accurate collocations would make your arguments clearer and more fluent.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because” and “which,” but control is inconsistent. Errors occur in agreement and sentence construction: “Other believe” needs a plural subject and verb, while “one should work their” does not form a correct grammatical pattern. In “maybe the facilities and income would be better than the country,” the comparison is not grammatically complete; compare the facilities and income with those available in the country. There are also problems with articles, pronouns, and verb forms, as in “she did their training.” These errors sometimes make the reader pause to interpret the meaning. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then extend them with subordinate clauses and check agreement and pronoun reference.
