Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is believed by many individuals that professionals, such as doctors and engineers, should be required to work in the country where they did their training, while others argue that they should be free to work in another country if they wish. This essay will discuss both views, however, I personally side with former viewpoint.
On the one hand, some people say that professionals, should be required work in the country where they did their traning. This is a good idea because they are familiar with that country and well-known by the people of the country. It is easy for professionals to find land to open hospital and office to start their work. Moreover, it is also beneficial for people because they have doctors and engineers in their own country. Apart from this, professionals have opportunity to live with their parents rather than to live in another country.
On the other hand, some people believe that they can work in another country if they wish. By working in other nations, doctors and engineers can get better opportunities for earning higher salary and leading quality of life. They have freedom to work anywhere they want. Furthermore, they can get new experience while working in other nations and also learn new skills.
In conclusion, although working in other countries provide higher income and an international experience, serving in own nation can help to make society better and improving national development through better public health and infrastructure of the nation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You discuss both positions and make your preference clear in the introduction (“I personally side with former viewpoint”) and conclusion. The reasons are relevant: you mention local access to professionals and national development, while also recognising higher salaries, quality of life and new experience abroad. However, the ideas remain brief and are not supported with specific examples or much explanation, so the response only partially develops the task. The conclusion also introduces public health and infrastructure without showing how these benefits follow from the earlier points. The response is 207 words, below the required 250-word minimum; 40 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop each main reason with explanation or a relevant example, and clarify why you favour requiring professionals to serve in their training country.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help signal the discussion, and the reader can follow the broad contrast. However, progression within paragraphs is limited: several points are listed without showing how they connect or which is most important. Linking phrases such as “Moreover” and “Apart from this” are used mechanically, and “however” in the introduction does not clearly connect the two clauses. The conclusion also shifts to national development without a clear link to the preceding discussion. Build each paragraph around one central reason, then explain or exemplify it, using references and transitions that show the relationship between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “professionals,” “higher salary,” “new skills,” and “national development.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “international experience” and “public health.” However, the range is limited and some word choices or collocations are noticeably inaccurate or unnatural, which keeps the expression from being consistently precise. For example, “find land to open hospital and office” does not clearly express the intended practical advantage, while “leading quality of life” is an awkward combination. There is also a spelling error in “traning.” Aim for more natural collocations and precise wording, and check spelling carefully; this will make your relevant ideas easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use a mixture of simple sentences and some longer structures, including a contrast clause in the introduction and a concessive clause in the conclusion. The overall meaning is generally understandable, but the range is limited and errors occur frequently. Examples include “should be required work,” which needs an infinitive marker, and “professionals, should,” where the comma incorrectly separates the subject from the verb. In the conclusion, “working in other countries provide” has a subject–verb agreement error, and “can help to make society better and improving” does not maintain a parallel verb structure. Articles and possessives are also missing in phrases such as “in own nation.” Practise accurate sentence patterns and check agreement, articles, punctuation and parallel forms when editing.
