Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often arged that the use of highly skilled professional migrating abroad is getting popular nowadays. It is often argued by some people that professionals such as doctors or engineers should be required to work in the country where they did their traning as it has bad effect on home country ans it is a wastage of government investment. Meanwhile, other school of thought still claims that these professional should be free to work in another country as there are best source of personal growth and better opportunities. This essay will examine both viewpoints before presentimg my opinion.
On the one hand, proponents of first view argue that professionals should stay in their home country. The main reason is that government spend alot of money on their training in public universities. If they go abroad,it is alos loss for the country. Moreover, it creates brain drain and shortage of doctors and engineers in rural areas. For example,in Pakistan, many hospitals have no doctors because doctors move to UK and USA.So they should serve their own nation to repay their debt. Thus, this determinant clearly elaborates the one side of argument.
On the other hand, advocates of second view believes that professionals should free to work in another country. One reason is that it is their basic human right and freedom. They should have fredom to choose where they want to work. For instance, if a doctor move to CANADA ,he can earns more money and learn new medical techniques.Later,he came back and serve his nation in the better way.Hence, this crucial element clears the other side of argument.
From my perspective,I believe that both views have some truth but balanced approach is best.I strongly support the 2nd view.I believe that professionals should be free to work in foreign country because freedom is the basic right. If they get better salary and better facilities in abroad, they should allowed to go.
In conclusion, although it is understandable that home country needs its professionals, they should ultimately be free to work abroad after completing a short compulsary service.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and state a clear preference for allowing professionals to work abroad, while also acknowledging the home country’s need for trained workers. The examples about public investment, shortages in rural areas, and a doctor gaining experience in Canada are relevant. However, several points remain general or are not fully explained: the claim that professionals should “repay their debt” is not explored, and the possible benefits of migration to the home country are only briefly mentioned. Your final suggestion of a “short compulsory service” also introduces a qualification that is not developed in the main argument. Explain how your preferred approach could balance individual freedom with the country’s investment and staffing needs.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” makes the progression easy to follow. However, some linking phrases feel mechanical or do not add meaning, particularly “this determinant clearly elaborates the one side of argument” and “this crucial element clears the other side.” The relationship between your support for freedom and your concluding proposal for compulsory service could also be made clearer. Use more direct transitions that show how each reason supports the paragraph’s main point, and connect your final qualification explicitly to your balanced position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “brain drain,” “public universities,” “human right,” and “medical techniques,” which helps communicate the main ideas. There is also some attempt to use more formal expressions, such as “proponents” and “advocates.” However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less natural: “the use of highly skilled professional migrating,” “best source of personal growth,” and “this determinant” are unclear or unsuitable in context. Spelling errors such as “traning,” “alos,” and “compulsary” further reduce precision. Build a more reliable range of topic phrases and check that each expression fits its intended meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “as,” “because,” and “although,” and the overall meaning is generally recoverable. However, the range is limited, and errors recur in basic sentence patterns as well as in more complex attempts. For example, “government spend” needs subject–verb agreement, “these professional should be free” needs a plural noun and a verb form, and “if a doctor move… he can earns” contains errors in both the conditional clause and the main clause. The final sentence also has an unclear construction around “after completing a short compulsory service.” Practise accurate agreement, infinitives, and conditional forms, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
