Student answer (Band 5.5)

There is a considerable debate whether professional such as doctors and engineers should work in their home country or in other countries. Some argue that their work should be restricted to their country, while others believe that this depends on their choice. In my opinion, individuals from any profession should not be bound to work in their country.

Some argue that professional should work in their own country. This is because their country people can gain benefits from their work and ideas. They can help their country fellow from their knowledge and experience, so that they can get a right future directions. For example, experts such as doctors and engineers, can help youngs who wants to persue same degree in these sectors through academic guidance. As a result, in the future they will have plenty of professional to serve the country.

On the other hand, others believe that individuals of various professions should have choice to work wherever they want. Restricting someone to one place means to limit their development, growth and experience. For instance, some countries have limited facilities for training certain professionals. Therefore restricting their will leads to loss of adequate learning and experinces which they can gain from other developed countries.

Finally, in my opinion whether a person is doctor or engineer have all the rights to work in any country or place of their choice. This can leads to widen their experience and knowledge. which they cannot gain by working in same place. Many professionals can learn incredible techniques from others countries fellow experts.

In conclusion, although professionals should works in their own country to benefit their country from their serves, but they should also be free to work according to their personal choice. I believe restricting them will limit their opportunities to gain experience.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both views and state a clear preference for professionals to choose where they work, so the response is relevant to the task. The argument for working at home is supported by the idea that local people benefit from professionals’ knowledge, and the opposing view is linked to gaining experience in countries with better facilities. However, these points are only partly developed: the example about guiding young people does not fully explain how this would ensure enough professionals remain in the country, and the benefits of working abroad are stated generally. Your conclusion repeats your position but does not add much synthesis. Develop each view with a clearer explanation and a specific, relevant example to make the discussion more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. This makes the line of argument easy to follow. Linking phrases such as “On the other hand,” “For example,” and “In conclusion” help signal relationships between ideas. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. In “Therefore restricting their will lead…,” the reference of “their” is difficult to identify, and the sentence beginning “which they cannot gain” is separated from the preceding sentence, disrupting the flow. The final paragraph also repeats the opinion already given. Use clearer referencing, connect dependent clauses to the sentences they complete, and make the conclusion briefly bring the two arguments together.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “restricted,” “development,” “facilities,” and “experience,” and you attempt some less common expressions such as “academic guidance.” This gives you enough range to discuss the main ideas. However, several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make parts of the response less natural or occasionally unclear: “country fellow,” “youngs,” “right future directions,” and “professional to serve the country” do not express the intended meaning precisely. There are also spelling errors such as “persue” and “experinces.” Build accuracy by learning common word partnerships and checking spelling, and choose precise terms for people, opportunities, and professional services.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause with “This is because” and a conditional structure beginning “whether a person is…”. The main ideas are generally understandable, but errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and punctuation occur across the response. For example, “professional should work” needs a plural form, “whether a person is doctor or engineer have” has a subject–verb agreement problem, and “This can leads” uses an incorrect verb form. The fragment “which they cannot gain by working in same place” should be joined to the previous sentence. Review singular and plural subjects, articles before professions, and verb forms after modal verbs; then proofread sentence boundaries.
