Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You give a discernible opinion in favour of professionals gaining experience abroad and later returning home, and your examples about your friend in IT security and your former teacher are relevant to this position. However, the task asks you to discuss both views, and the argument for requiring professionals to work in the country where they trained is only briefly suggested in the final lines. The reasons and examples are difficult to follow, so the main ideas are not sufficiently explained or supported. The response also falls 7 words short of the 250-word minimum; the 9 words copied from the task prompt do not count. Develop both sides more fully, explain your position clearly, and meet the required length.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is a basic attempt to move from an opinion to examples and then to a concluding point, and phrases such as “For example” and “Then” signal some relationships between ideas. However, the response is not arranged into clear paragraphs, and the progression is difficult to follow: the friend’s situation, the teacher’s experience, and the final condition about returning home are not connected into a clear argument. Some linking words are used in ways that do not clarify the relationship between sentences. Organise the essay into an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Within each paragraph, present one main idea, explain it, and connect the example directly to it.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “expert,” “IT security field,” “international,” and “skills,” and the reader can identify the general subject of professional work abroad. However, the vocabulary is basic and often repetitive, while inaccurate word choices and spelling make several points hard to understand. For instance, “coaching” does not clearly express professional training, “complimentary” does not mean free to choose, and “ocassion” is repeated where a more precise term is needed. Spelling such as “docter,” “overcies,” and “softwara” also reduces clarity. Build a small set of accurate topic phrases and check spelling; use words such as “training,” “career opportunities,” and “expertise” in their correct contexts.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You make some attempts to connect clauses, for example with “so that” and “but,” and the reader can sometimes recover the intended meaning. However, sentence structures are very limited and frequent errors in verb forms, word order, articles, and agreement often distort the message. Examples include “I was study in this university,” “He going to the travell,” and “They are did not back.” Pronouns and sentence boundaries are also difficult to track in passages beginning “Then” and “And He.” Practise accurate simple sentences first, especially subject–verb–object order and past-tense forms, before adding subordinate clauses. Proofread each sentence to ensure it has a clear subject and correctly formed verb.
