Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is often argued whethere professionals like doctor, engineers, have to work in the country from where they received their education. While other believes that they should be given an opportunity to parsue a career in any country they want.

On the one hand, there are strong reasons why professionals move to other countries. Now days excess of skilled workers like doctors and engineers which are the assets of Pakistan, moving abroad to get higher study of for better job opportunities. Under-developing does not have good job options to offer these professionals. Moreover with the time the living cost increased day by day and unemployment also increased at the same time, because of these reasons the young doctors and engineers move abroad for better future and work options. Also in many developed countries like USA, Canada, UK, China and Europe have alot of option available and with attractive salaries packages. It seems like they have better future in abroad rather then staying in same country.

Despite these reasons, Government give them admission on merit bases and pay their fees from public tax while what they do leave the country for their future.at the end their own country face shortage of skilled worker and professionals. People in their own country face poor health facilities and economy crisis.

In my opinion, everyone spend a huge amount of money on education, but at the end they did not get the job of their desired. Same time they have family to support and bills to pay. They cannot stay unemployed for long period of time. Because of this reason when they gets chance they leave their country. Government should do something in this prespective. Government implement some policies and make more job prospects available for them in future so they do not need to leave the country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address the central issue by explaining why professionals leave for better employment and why their departure can harm the country that funded their education. Your opinion is also present: you argue that governments should create more job opportunities rather than prevent people from leaving. However, the discussion is uneven. The case for requiring graduates to work in their training country is mainly expressed through the consequences of migration, rather than developed as a distinct argument for a work requirement. The reasons professionals seek opportunities abroad are more fully explained, but examples such as higher salaries and unemployment remain general. Develop both positions more evenly and clarify whether you support freedom to choose, a temporary service obligation, or another approach.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, moving from the reasons professionals migrate to the effects on their home country and then to your opinion. Paragraphing helps distinguish these stages, and phrases such as “On the one hand” and “In my opinion” signal the direction of the discussion. However, the progression is not always clear: “Despite these reasons” introduces the opposing concern, but the relationship between public funding and requiring graduates to stay needs a clearer explanation. Several ideas are crowded into the first body paragraph, and linking phrases such as “because of these reasons” and “at the same time” are repetitive. Use a separate, focused paragraph for each view and connect each claim to the next with more precise referencing.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “skilled workers,” “job opportunities,” “public tax,” and “shortage of skilled worker,” so the main subject is generally clear. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems make the writing less precise. Examples include “higher study of for better job opportunities,” “attractive salaries packages,” and “better future in abroad”; these phrases are awkward or unclear. There are also repeated basic terms such as “country,” “professionals,” and “future,” alongside spelling errors such as “whethere” and “prespective.” Build a more accurate range around migration and public investment, and check spelling and natural word combinations before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentences to explain causes and consequences, for example, the sentence beginning “Moreover with the time…” and the sentence about government-funded education. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and punctuation sometimes make the relationships between ideas difficult to follow. “While other believes” is an incomplete contrast clause, while “Government give them admission” has a subject–verb agreement error. In “when they gets chance,” both agreement and article use need correction. Some sentences also run together, particularly “for their future.at the end,” which needs clearer sentence boundaries. Practise building accurate complex sentences, then check verb forms, singular/plural agreement, and punctuation.
