Student answer (Band 5.5)
Professionals, such as doctors and engineers are moving abroad for better career oppourtunities; however, some believe that they should work in the country where they did their training and others argue that they should have a free will. I believe that people should have rights to choose about their own career.
To begin with, many of the skilled professionals are moving abroad after gaining experience from their country. They get better salary and the quality of life may increase after moving to abroad. Some students choose other countries for study and then they came back to their own country. For example, Indians students are going to Russia for their medical degree as the cost of study is low as compared with their own country but afterwards, they move back to their own country.
However, people can not force them to stay in the same country where they have gain training. Everyone has a free will and they should choose on the basis of their own criteria rather then staying in the same place because of society pressure. Some countries faces problems like shortage of qualified worker and decrease in life expectancy because of that they might think that worker should stay in their country. Still we can not make choice for someone future.
To conclude, some might think that they should stay in the same country they gain training but I believe that individuals should be responsible for their own future. Everyone should choose the future that they want rather then listening to the society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You present a clear opinion—that professionals should be free to choose where they work—and discuss both the freedom argument and the concern that countries may face shortages. However, the discussion is only partial: the case for requiring professionals to remain is not explained in much detail, and the example about Indian students studying in Russia illustrates returning after study rather than why trained professionals should be obliged to stay. The point about shortages and life expectancy is relevant but needs a clearer explanation and support. The response also falls four words short of the 250-word minimum; the nine words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop each side with a more directly relevant example and explain how it supports your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs beginning “To begin with” and “However,” and a conclusion. These markers help readers follow the broad shift between views. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the example of students studying in Russia does not connect smoothly to the point about professionals moving abroad, and the shortage and life-expectancy claims are joined without explaining their relationship. Some linking is also repetitive, particularly the repeated contrast between staying and choosing freely in the final paragraph. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main argument, then connect examples explicitly to that argument. Clearer referencing and transitions between related points would make the organisation more coherent.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “skilled professionals,” “career opportunities,” “shortage of qualified worker,” and “life expectancy.” There is some variety in how you express the central issue, but several word-choice and collocation errors make the writing less natural, such as “free will” for freedom to choose a job, “move to abroad,” and “make choice for someone future.” Spelling errors such as “oppourtunities” and “rather then” are also noticeable. Aim for more precise phrases and check spelling carefully; this will help you express the argument more fluently without changing its meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a contrast introduced by “however” and a reason clause beginning “because.” The main meaning is generally understandable, but errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction recur. For example, “many of the skilled professionals … They get better salary” shifts from plural to singular agreement, while “they have gain training” uses an incorrect verb form. In “Some countries faces problems,” the subject and verb do not agree. Review these patterns and check each sentence for a clear subject and correctly formed verb. More accurate control of these structures would make your ideas easier to follow.
