Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

You identify both viewpoints and begin to state your own, so the response is relevant to the question. However, the discussion is only minimally developed: the first view is linked to national importance and the country’s image, while the second is briefly associated with gaining knowledge and settling abroad. These points are not explained with clear reasons or examples, and the final opinion is cut off at “I think people should gone to another coun…”, leaving your position incomplete. The response also falls 81 words short of the required minimum, which contributes to the limited coverage. To improve, explain the benefits and drawbacks of each view, give a relevant example, and finish with a clear, supported opinion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is a basic overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph for each viewpoint, and an attempt to begin a conclusion. Phrases such as “According to first school of thought” and “According to second school of thought” help signal the change in perspective. However, the progression within paragraphs is weak, and some links between ideas are unclear—for example, the claim that professionals serving at home “creates bad image of a country” does not clearly follow from the preceding point. The conclusion is unfinished, so the response does not reach a complete ending. Develop one main idea at a time, explain how each point connects to the question, and use clear transitions into a completed conclusion.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “professionals,” “doctors,” “engineers,” “training,” and “settled,” which makes the subject identifiable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make the meaning unclear, such as “professionals … backbone” and “get more deep knowledge.” Spelling errors, including “fisrt,” “salery,” and “impotance,” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise expressions and check spelling carefully. For instance, you could describe professionals as “essential to a country’s development,” refer to “higher salaries,” and say that working abroad can provide “advanced expertise.” These choices would make your ideas clearer and more appropriate for an academic discussion.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a sentence beginning “Some people think that…” and clauses introduced by “because” and “if.” However, errors in sentence structure and verb forms are frequent enough to make several ideas difficult to follow. Examples include “doctors and engineers backbone,” which needs a linking verb, “they should be require,” and “I think people should gone.” There are also problems with articles, agreement, and punctuation, as in “if they gone to another country it creates bad image of country.” Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check verb forms after modal verbs and in conditional clauses.
