Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both views and state a preference for professionals to be free to move abroad, so the response is relevant to the question. However, the discussion is only partial: the case for requiring professionals to serve the country that trained them is suggested through their role in national development, but the reasons for this requirement are not clearly explained. The examples about skyscrapers and government hospitals are difficult to connect to the central argument. Your opinion is present, but the opening sentence gives several benefits of moving abroad without clearly explaining why freedom of movement should outweigh the opposing view. Develop each side with a direct reason and a specific, clearly linked example. The response meets the stated length requirement; 18 words copied from the task prompt were excluded from the count.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The essay has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs beginning “On one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. This helps readers identify the two perspectives. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and some links between ideas are unclear. For example, the point about a skyscraper housing many families and reducing demand for individual homes does not clearly support the argument about professionals serving their country. Connect each example explicitly to the point it illustrates. Some transitions are also awkward or mechanical, such as “Because” starting a sentence after the previous claim and “Whereas” introducing a fragment. Use linking expressions only where the relationship is clear, and make the conclusion restate your position more precisely.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “infrastructure,” “MRI machines,” “government hospitals,” and “specific fields,” which helps communicate the general subject. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repeated, particularly “significant benefits” and “opportunities.” Some word choices and collocations make meaning unclear, such as “benefits greetings with new people,” “moving to abroad,” and “off fields.” There are also spelling or form errors, including “alot” and “there training.” Aim for more precise expressions for the ideas you discuss, and check common word partnerships and spelling. Replacing repeated general terms with specific benefits—such as professional development or access to advanced equipment—would make the argument clearer and more convincing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a mixture of simple and more complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “where” and “which,” and the overall meaning can usually be followed. However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to interpret. For example, “Which reduces the space…” is an incomplete sentence, while “Because many European countries they build…” has an incorrect clause structure. There are also errors in agreement and sentence construction, as in “people who wants,” and inconsistent capitalisation of “i.” Practise building complete sentences around one main clause, then add subordinate clauses carefully. Check subject–verb agreement and punctuation, especially when joining related ideas.
