Student answer (Band 6.0)

Many people in the country believes that the proffesional doctors and engineer where they have graduated and trained they should serve to their own country. While others believe that they shoukd be have freedom for the highly professions to work in another coiuntry according to their wish. In my opinion, if these skilled proffessions workers should be given freedom to work any where. The government should give increase the wages instead of stoping them in name of law .

On the one hand, if the professions like doctors and engineers will work outside the country it will create shortage of skilled worker in the nation in need of emergencies. However, to educate these graduates the government collect huge amount of tax from the tax payers to educated them in expensive university. Consequently when these doctors and engineers leave the country after becoming graduate. The country loses both talent and money. This create big problem in health emergencies because the poor countries lose their skilled doctors to rich nations. They will not have the enough doctors.

On the other hand, allowing the skilled doctors and engineers to work any place in the world. It will help them in getting experience. Every body have a right to choose their own career path. Additionally, it gives them a chance to work in foriegn country to learn advance technology they use and new equipment. It helps in improving the economy as they sent money to their family. Therefore they will return to their nation and what experience they gain will apply in their home countries for the betterment of the society.

In conclusion, I strongly believe that professions like doctors and engineer should be allow to work any where, instead of forcing them to stay is wrong solution. As a result government should increase the salaries and better workplace.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address both sides of the debate and state a clear opinion: professionals should be free to work abroad, while governments should improve pay and working conditions rather than restrict them. The discussion of shortages and public investment gives relevant reasons for requiring graduates to serve locally, and the points about career choice, experience and remittances support the opposing view. This covers the task well, though some ideas are more fully explained than others. For example, the claim that professionals will return home and apply their experience is asserted rather than supported with an example or explanation of when this is likely. Develop that point and clarify how better wages and workplaces could reduce staff departures to make the argument more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion that restates your position. Linking phrases such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the discussion. Within paragraphs, however, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For instance, “Consequently when these doctors and engineers leave” does not clearly connect the government’s education costs to the later loss, and “Therefore they will return” presents a conclusion without establishing why returning is likely. Use referencing carefully and make the relationship between each reason and its result explicit. This would make the progression smoother and cohesion less dependent on formulaic transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “shortage of skilled worker,” “tax payers,” “advanced technology,” and “betterment of the society,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. However, the range and control are limited, with repeated references to “doctors and engineers” and noticeable spelling, word-form and collocation errors. Examples include “proffesional,” “foriegn,” “highly professions workers,” and “work any place.” These errors sometimes make the reader pause to interpret your meaning, particularly in the opening. Aim for accurate, natural phrases such as “qualified professionals,” “work overseas,” and “retain skilled staff.” Proofreading spelling and checking whether words fit together naturally would improve precision and readability.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional and subordinate structures, as in “if the professions like doctors and engineers will work outside the country” and “to educate these graduates the government collect…”. However, complex attempts are often faulty, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence boundaries occur throughout. For example, “Many people in the country believes” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “the government should give increase the wages” has an incorrect verb pattern. The sentence beginning “On the other hand, allowing…” is also a fragment rather than a complete sentence. These issues can make some relationships difficult to follow. Practise building accurate clauses first, then combine them, and check agreement and verb forms during revision.
