Student answer (Band 5.5)
nowadays, there is a debate whether professionals, such as doctors and engineers, should work in the country where they received their training or have the freedom to work abroad. While some believe that they should work in their homecountry ,others argue that they should be allowed to work in another country if they wish.In my opinion ,i believe that they should work abroad.
in one hand, some people believe that professionals should be required to work in the country where they did their training. Simply because goverments spent a considerable amount of money for their education and in contrast, they should give it back by working in their home country. Addionally,if they leave ,their country will lead to a shortage of professionals .as a result, the country of departure will experience economic difficulties.
in the other hand,i believe that some professionals should have the freedom to work in another country if they wish. one significant reason,is that they have the right to choose their own carrer and the place where they see themselves in the future.added to that, they are free, responsible and mature enough to take such as important decisions.therefore, working abroad gives they the opportunity to devellop further their skills and expertise. this is illustrated by working on various projects and situation.for example, tunisian artificial intelligence gradutates would develop their competition better if they choose to work in an adanced country in this field such as china which is now replacing humains work by programming robots.moreover, they have the chance to gain more money and live a better and balanced life there.
in conclusion, although professionals can make an important change to the country where they did their training i also believe that working abroad provides them with better opportunities and career development.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both sides of the discussion and state a clear preference for allowing professionals to work abroad. The points about public investment in training and possible shortages explain the case for requiring graduates to stay, while career choice, skill development and better earnings support your own view. The example of Tunisian AI graduates adds relevant detail. However, several claims are asserted rather than fully explained: for instance, the link between professionals leaving and “economic difficulties” needs a clearer explanation, and the China example could show more specifically how working there develops expertise. Develop each main reason with a fuller explanation or a more precise example to make the response more complete and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion that restates your position. This helps the reader follow the overall discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes weakened by mechanical or inaccurate linking, such as “in one hand” and “in the other hand,” and the second body paragraph moves quickly from personal choice to skills, an example, and income without clearly connecting each point. Some transitions, including “therefore” and “moreover,” signal relationships but do not always make the reasoning explicit. Use topic sentences and develop one point at a time, with clearer links between the claim, explanation and example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “shortage of professionals,” “skills and expertise,” “career development” and “artificial intelligence.” These choices help communicate the main ideas. However, the range is limited by repeated general wording and noticeable spelling, word-form and collocation errors, including “homecountry,” “carrer,” “devellop,” “gradutates” and “replacing humains work.” Some phrases are also imprecise, such as “develop their competition better,” which makes the intended meaning difficult to identify. Build a more accurate set of expressions for employment and professional training, and check spelling and collocations carefully. More precise vocabulary would make your arguments clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “if they leave” and a relative clause in “where they see themselves in the future.” However, errors occur frequently and sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. Examples include “they should give it back” without a clear grammatical reference, “gives they the opportunity,” and “if they choose to work,” where the subject and verb form need attention. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, with several sentences beginning in lowercase and clauses joined or separated awkwardly. Practise accurate subject–verb patterns, pronouns and clause construction, then proofread each sentence for capitals and punctuation.
