Student answer (Band 5.0)

Nowadays, few individuals think that professionals, like doctors and engineers, have to work in their own country where they received their training from and serve there; on the other side people believe that they should be their own free will to do work where their want to do work. In my perspective, i partially agree with both points.

On the one hand, some people believe that doctors and engineers like these profession they should be serve in the country where they learned that experience and develop their country to international level and they think that our country need that kind of profession in the development and stable the economy as a countrymen; for instance, now we need engineers to develop the infrastructure and build the road for betterment of the country.

On the other hand, some argued that they have their own life; they are not under control by anyone; they have their own freedom for life to live and for work; while, they work in their own country whenever they got an opportunity they have a free will to went there and setup their life as they wish; for example, nowadays everyone who work in their country meanwhile they got an offer; they accept it and went to another country for the better future.

In conclusion, both opinion have their own benefits and own impact on professionals such as doctor and engineer, and also on the country, meanwhile nowadays people are selfish and doesn't care about country, In my opinion, both point of view have their own benefits and own result on profession and country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both views: the first body paragraph explains why a country may need trained professionals for infrastructure and development, while the second presents their freedom to choose where to live and work. Your opinion, however, is not sufficiently clear or developed. “I partially agree with both points” does not explain how you balance the competing claims, and the conclusion repeats that both have benefits without making a definite judgement. Some supporting ideas are also broad—for example, the claim that people leave for “the better future” is not explained further. State your position precisely and develop each view with a specific reason or example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the basic organisation. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: several ideas are joined into long sentences, and the second body paragraph moves from personal freedom to accepting an overseas offer without clearly explaining the connection. The conclusion also repeats earlier points rather than bringing the discussion to a clear resolution. Use shorter, more focused sentences and make each paragraph develop one main idea in a logical sequence.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “professionals,” “infrastructure,” “economy,” and “opportunity,” so the main subject is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several phrases are inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “develop their country to international level,” “stable the economy,” and “they should be their own free will.” Repetition of “country,” “work,” and “benefits” also limits precision. Build a more accurate set of collocations for discussing employment and migration, and choose words that express the intended relationship clearly, such as a country’s need for skilled workers or a professional’s right to choose a workplace.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “where,” “while,” and “for instance.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction can make the reader work to understand your meaning. For example, “they should be serve” has an incorrect verb form, “they have a free will to went” uses the wrong infinitive form, and “both opinion have” has a number-agreement error. Capitalisation and punctuation also need attention, including the lowercase “i” and the comma splice in the final sentence. Practise building accurate sentences before combining several ideas.
