Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some individuals think that professionals such as doctors and engineers should be made their career and give service in the country where they studied and trained. Others argued that they should be independent to work at anywhere as their wish. I will discuss both views in this essay and my opinion is governments should take responsibility to ensure the handsome amount of salary and facilities to take them back.
Doctors and engineers are the most vital profession to upgrade and develop a country. Governments spend a huge amount of money on these fund to teach them . Lab, research and others study equipment are really expensive. That is why governments hospitals give them these things free. Additionally , governments help the national and private hospitals to give the facilities. Due to all of these advantages doctors and engineers should also think about the nation which assist them to reach this occupation. That is why , governments give them some requirements before they get training . It should be their responsibility to give service to this country.
People has different perception of choosing their career and future life. Sometimes they do not get the facilities to develop their field to work that is why they try to go to abroad for their research and better career opportunity . In developed country such as America, Canada, Australia has better field to work on and they give this professional people better facilities and safety. People can earn better than the developing country. They can choose the life they dreamed . That is the reason some people believe that doctors and engineers should get the chance to choose their career as their own choice.
In conclusion, although few people believe that doctors and engineers should stay in the country where they get their education, others think differently and claimed that they should be free to choose the career where they want. I think if governments offer them the facilities to stay safe and happy and increase their salary, they should stay in the country where they finish their learning.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and give a clear personal position: you argue that professionals should serve their home country if governments provide good salaries and facilities. The discussion of why they might leave—better research opportunities, safety and earnings in countries such as the USA, Canada and Australia—is relevant. However, the first view is developed more through general claims about public investment than through a specific example, and the proposed government requirements are not explained. Your conclusion repeats your position but does not add support. To strengthen the response, explain how a service obligation could work and develop each side with a concrete example. The response meets the stated length requirement; nine words copied from the task prompt were excluded from the count.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. This makes the main line of argument easy to follow. You also use signposting such as “Additionally,” “That is why,” and “In conclusion.” At times, however, these links are repetitive or do not express the relationship precisely; “That is why” appears several times, and the move from government spending to professionals’ responsibility could be explained more directly. Some references are also unclear, as in “they give this professional people better facilities,” where the referent of “they” is not immediately precise. Use a wider range of accurate transitions and connect each supporting point explicitly to the paragraph’s main idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “professionals,” “research,” “career opportunity,” “facilities,” and “salary.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “vital profession” and “develop a country.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, which limits precision: “made their career,” “these fund,” “go to abroad,” and “better field to work on” do not express the intended meanings naturally. Some repetition of “facilities” and “country” also narrows the range. Build accuracy by learning common word partnerships—for example, “pursue a career,” “public funding,” and “work overseas”—and check whether each phrase fits its context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a conditional in “if governments offer them the facilities … they should stay” and a reason clause beginning “That is why.” These attempts help convey relationships between ideas, but control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make sentences difficult to process. Examples include “Others argued” after the present-tense “Some individuals think,” “People has different perception,” and the sentence fragment-like construction “In developed country such as America, Canada, Australia has…” Articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries also need attention. Practise building accurate sentences around one main clause, then add subordinate clauses; check subject–verb agreement, articles before singular countable nouns, and consistent tense.
