Student answer (Band 5.0)

Accodring to people such as engineers or doctors, work in their country where did they educate, because government provide facilities to students about training, and the other says they work in different countries if they wish, because some countries provide more facilities in these skillfull fields.

The most people says they work in their own country where they educate themself because government provide benefits and invest for their training and they provide facilities to learners and make them independent. government should develop their own country and economy and they should responsible to develop their own country.

Other believe, they should be free to work in another ccountry because there are many countries that offers more facilities to students to attract in our country for research etc, the another reason is high salary, however most of the countries have a advanced technology in engineering and medical sectors etc, and some countries provide many other activities for professionals to attract them because they want to develop their economy and country name in research industry as well as in literacy rate, in addition some learner go to other country for securities and better environment as compare to their own country.

In assence, both prespectives of people is correct some people need to develop their own country and some wish to give freedom to experts.

From my point of view, these all are correct, however more appropiate is to give proper flexibility is better for professional learners because they have right to make their own choices.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both views and give a clear preference for allowing professionals to choose where they work, especially in the final paragraph. Relevant reasons include government investment in training, higher salaries, advanced technology, and safer environments. However, these points are mostly listed rather than explained or supported with a specific example, and the opening and conclusion do not fully develop your position. The response is also 243 words, so it is 7 words below the required minimum; the 9 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. To strengthen the response, explain the consequences of each view and add a concrete example, while making your own opinion clear throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the main sides of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, as several reasons are added in long sequences without showing how they relate. For example, the paragraph beginning “Other believe” moves from facilities to salary, technology, research, literacy, security, and environment. Linking phrases such as “the another reason” are repetitive or unclear, and the conclusion largely repeats the idea that both perspectives are correct. Group related points, use clearer transitions, and make each paragraph develop one central idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “training,” “high salary,” “advanced technology,” “research,” and “flexibility,” so the main topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “attract in our country,” “in literacy rate,” and “proper flexibility.” Spelling errors such as “Accodring,” “ccountry,” and “assence” also reduce accuracy. Aim to use precise phrases for professional migration and public investment, and check spelling carefully. Replacing repeated general terms such as “facilities” with more specific wording would also make the discussion clearer.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a reason clause with “because” and a contrast introduced by “however.” Nevertheless, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in agreement, articles, sentence structure, and punctuation occur frequently. For instance, “government provide benefits” needs a plural subject or singular verb, while “the another reason is high salary” has problems with article use and number. The opening sentence is also difficult to parse because its clauses are joined without a clear grammatical structure. Practise building accurate sentences around one main clause, then add a correctly formed reason or contrast clause. Check subject–verb agreement and sentence boundaries during revision.
