Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people believe that professionals, such as doctors and engineers, should be required to work in the country where they did their training. Others believe they should be free to work in another country if they wish. There can be a big debate on this statement.
If professionals like doctors and engineers are required to work for their country then the government must give them an advantage and a good reason to work for their country.
Although working for your home country can be beneficial for the development of the country, it generates revenue which can lead to a surge in GDP of a country.
The health care can become free for the public, if the government comes up with a strategy to increase funds in the health sector by providing fair salary to the doctors and reducing the cost of medicines. It will be a huge relief to the public. While engineers can contribute to the innovation of new technologys which plays a crucial role in the development. There should be enough funds provided by the government where a country can lead towards development and engineers plays a major role in that.
Obviously ,any individual will work for their home country if there is an assurance for the job opportunity and job security, otherwise they have the right to work in another country.
The reason why some majority prefer working in another country is mostly because of better lifestyle. There are few countries who provide higher living standards which their home country failed to provide.
In the end, i feel like its their own wish to work in a country where they feel like it could provide better standards for them. Doctors and Engineers are the hardest field to learn and its their efforts, so critics has no right to interfere with their dreams. Everyone has the right to work hard for their dreams.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You present a clear opinion in the conclusion: professionals should be free to choose where they work, and you give relevant reasons, including job security and better living standards abroad. You also discuss potential benefits of professionals working in their home country, such as supporting healthcare and technological development. However, the two views are not explored equally: the case for working abroad is brief, and the opening claim that governments should offer advantages is not developed into a clear argument. Some points, such as how professionals generate revenue or how healthcare could become free, need clearer explanation and support. Develop each side with a specific example and connect it directly to the question of whether work should be compulsory or voluntary.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure, moving from the home-country argument to reasons for working abroad and then to your opinion. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these stages. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the discussion shifts from revenue and GDP to free healthcare without explaining the links, while the engineering point repeats the general idea of national development. Connect each claim with a clear explanation, and use topic sentences to signal the purpose of each paragraph. Some linking is mechanical or awkward, as in “Although working for your home country…” followed by “While engineers…”. A more balanced sequence—one paragraph for each view, followed by a concise conclusion—would make the argument easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “job security,” “living standards,” “health sector,” “innovation,” and “GDP,” which helps communicate the main ideas. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “plays a crucial role.” However, some expressions are vague or unnatural, including “a big debate,” “give them an advantage,” and “work for their country.” Repetition of “country,” “development,” and “work” limits the range, and spelling errors such as “technologys” reduce accuracy. Choose more precise collocations and vary repeated terms; for example, explain what incentives governments could offer rather than referring generally to an “advantage.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mixture of simple and complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “if there is an assurance for the job opportunity and job security” and a subordinate clause beginning “Although working for your home country…”. Meaning is generally understandable, but errors in agreement, articles, sentence boundaries, and punctuation are noticeable. For example, “engineers plays” should use a plural verb, and “critics has” also has a subject–verb agreement problem. The sentence beginning “The health care can become free for the public” is joined to a following clause with a comma, creating a run-on structure. Review agreement and punctuation, and practise building complex sentences with clear clause boundaries.
