Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, people have different opinions about where professionals like doctors, and engineers starts their carrier. While some people believe that they should required to work in the same country where they have completed their studies, others argue that they should free to work in any country they want. In my opinion I believe that they have to freedom that they can work in any country they want.

On the one hand, some people believe that healthcare professionals and engineers are bound that they can only work in that country from where they completed their education. This is because they want that they can get benefits from that the goverenment had invested on them. For example, if a student studied on the expense of government than it is his responsibility to provide his services to that nation. As a result, public can get the benifits from them.

On the other hand, other argue that they should be free to work in other country they want. The main reason is that they can work in a more comfertable environment if they have freedom. For instance, a doctor can work freely if he had no mental pressure he is responsible of what he is doing. I personally agree with this view because in free culture the resiults are more positive than in bound one.

In conclusion, although both views have their own benefits, I believe that professionals should be free to work in any country they wish because it can generate more positive and good results.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both positions and state your preference for professionals to choose where they work, so the response addresses the main parts of the prompt. The government-investment argument is relevant, and the example of a publicly funded student helps explain why a country might expect service in return. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the second view relies mainly on the broad claim that freedom creates a more comfortable environment, and the doctor example does not clearly show how this supports working abroad. Your opinion is clear, but the claim that free systems produce “more positive” results needs explanation or evidence. Develop each side with a specific consequence and make the link between examples and your argument explicit.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” make the contrast easy to follow, while “For example” and “As a result” signal supporting details. This coherent structure meets the lower-band expectations and shows some features of stronger progression. However, links between ideas are occasionally unclear or mechanical. For instance, “a doctor can work freely if he had no mental pressure he is responsible of what he is doing” combines several ideas without showing their relationship. Use clearer sentence boundaries and explain how each example supports the paragraph’s main point. The conclusion also repeats the opinion rather than drawing together the two arguments.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “healthcare professionals,” “government,” “services,” and “freedom,” and the reader can generally understand your position. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision, such as “carrier,” “comfertable,” “benifits,” and “resiults.” Some phrases are also unnatural or unclear: “bound that they can only work” and “free culture” do not express the intended ideas precisely. Aim to learn common collocations for this topic, such as “work in the country where they trained,” “repay public investment,” and “career opportunities abroad.” Proofreading spelling and replacing vague expressions with precise terms would make your argument easier to follow.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a contrast clause beginning “While” and a reason clause beginning “because.” However, the range is limited, and attempts to build longer sentences often contain errors that make the relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Examples include “professionals … starts,” “they should required,” and “they should free,” where verb forms or auxiliary verbs are missing or incorrect. In “if he had no mental pressure he is responsible,” the clause structure and tense relationship are unclear, and punctuation is needed between the clauses. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, modal constructions (“should be required,” “should be free”), and sentence boundaries before adding more complex structures.
