Student answer (Band 5.5)
Many of the people believe that professionals including doctors and engineers should work in their own country where they received training. But other people also believe that they shoud be allowed to work in another country if they required to do so.
Professionals specially in civil services should have no restriction at all, because their training is all about serving the humanity inspite of the any juridiction. Having said that some might be required to work at their own country to serve the people because the country itself has invested and equiped the professional with required skills to be a doctor or a engineer. They must first serve the own nation before going into any other country. I also believe in this way that they must return the favour to the country that helped him to reach a professional level. But if they for the upgradation of the skills some professional should be allowed to go in another counrty for getting further knowledge and education while also serving the humanity over there. If I give my own example as advocate high court of sindh ,I have been in the field for almost 10 years now starting from gradution. This counrty gives me platform to work, resrources to manage and most importanly there are people who needs services from people like me who tends to work as pro bono advocate for poor people. In this case I must serve these people before going in another country even if I get any opportunity there.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and state a personal position: you argue that professionals should repay the country that trained them, while allowing overseas work for further learning. The example of your legal career gives the response a personal, relevant basis. However, the discussion is uneven: the case for freedom to work abroad is mainly linked to gaining skills and serving humanity, while the reasons supporting a return obligation are repeated rather than fully examined. The opening also refers to professionals generally, but the later focus shifts to civil servants and your own work as an advocate, so the connection to doctors and engineers could be clearer. Develop each side with a specific reason or example, then make your conclusion explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation: the opening introduces the two positions, and the body moves from the general debate to your own example. Linking expressions such as “Having said that,” “But,” and “If I give my own example” help signal changes in direction. However, the response is largely one continuous paragraph, so the reader has to work to distinguish the opposing arguments from your opinion and example. The progression also becomes repetitive, particularly around the idea that professionals should serve their own country first. Use separate paragraphs for the two views and your position, and make each paragraph develop one main point. Check that connectors express the intended relationship rather than simply marking a new sentence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “professionals,” “training,” “skills,” “resources,” and “pro bono advocate,” and the personal example adds specificity. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning less natural. For example, “civil services” does not clearly refer to the doctors and engineers in the prompt, “juridiction” is not the intended word for a country’s borders, and “upgradation of the skills” is awkward. Spelling errors such as “shoud,” “equiped,” and “counrty” are also noticeable. Build a more precise set of expressions for discussing public investment, professional obligations, and international mobility, and proofread spelling.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause with “because” and a conditional idea beginning “if they…”. However, complex constructions are often difficult to follow, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. For example, “some might be required to work at their own country” has an incorrect preposition, while “they must first serve the own nation” is missing a possessive determiner. The sentence beginning “But if they for the upgradation…” lacks a clear grammatical structure, and “a doctor or a engineer” shows article errors. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, especially around the personal example. Practise building complete clauses and checking articles, pronouns, and prepositions before adding more complex ideas.
