Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response attempts to address the task but fails to provide a clear overview or identify the most significant trends. The information is presented in a fragmented manner, and some data points are inaccurate or poorly described (e.g., mentioning 'prices' in the retail sector, which is not supported by the graph). The report lacks a logical structure, and the comparison between sectors is underdeveloped. To improve, you must provide a clear summary of the main trends and ensure that the data reported matches the visual information provided in the graph accurately.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay lacks a clear structure. The introduction is irrelevant to the task, and the body paragraphs are not logically organized. There is a lack of cohesive devices to link ideas, making the progression of information difficult to follow. For example, the transition between the manufacturing and retail sectors is abrupt. To achieve a higher band, you should use clear paragraphing—one for the overview and one or two for the detailed analysis—and use linking words like 'in contrast,' 'furthermore,' or 'subsequently' to guide the reader through the data.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is quite limited and often misused. Phrases like 'jobs sector in every country effecting greatly' and 'manually' (likely meant 'gradually') indicate a lack of precision. The use of 'prices' instead of 'number of jobs' in the retail section is a significant error. You need to use more precise terminology related to trends, such as 'fluctuated,' 'remained stable,' or 'experienced a sharp decline.' Expanding your range of vocabulary to include specific reporting verbs and nouns will help improve your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('the jobs... increases'), sentence fragments ('How much it is strong?'), and incorrect tense usage. The sentence structures are simple and often lack the complexity required for higher bands. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and subject-verb agreement. Additionally, try to incorporate a wider variety of complex structures, such as relative clauses or passive voice, while ensuring they are used accurately.
