Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, as it is only 110 words long and remains incomplete. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed. While the introduction identifies the topic, the overview is poorly developed and the body paragraphs are truncated, preventing a full summary of the main features or a comprehensive comparison of the four sectors. The failure to complete the description of the trends significantly impacts the score, as the information provided is insufficient to satisfy the requirements of the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the abrupt ending mid-sentence disrupts the logical flow. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Overall' and 'In 1960', but they are often used incorrectly or with awkward phrasing, such as 'the ratio of Manufacturing job was took high number'. The lack of completion makes it difficult to assess the overall progression of ideas, as the response stops before the analysis of the data is finished.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and contains frequent errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'Helthcare', 'drameticly', 'digite', and 'dounword'. The student struggles to use appropriate terminology for describing trends, opting for phrases like 'accounted dounword' instead of 'showed a downward trend'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to convey the information with precision, and the persistent spelling errors occasionally impede the reader's understanding of the intended meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that affect clarity. Examples include 'the ratio of Manufacturing job was took high number', which is syntactically incorrect, and 'Agriculture sectore had provide job', which shows incorrect verb tense usage. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the existing sentences are often poorly constructed. Punctuation is also inconsistent. These errors are frequent and often cause difficulty for the reader, indicating a limited control over basic grammatical structures.
