Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.5

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which negatively impacts the score. While you identify the four sectors and provide some data points, the analysis is superficial. You misinterpret the data significantly; for instance, you state that healthcare 'fallen down from 6 to 2 million', whereas the graph shows a clear upward trend for healthcare. Furthermore, the overview is inaccurate, as it incorrectly summarizes the trends for the sectors. To improve, ensure you carefully read the axes and trends before writing, and provide a more comprehensive summary of the main features and comparisons.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks a clear structure. While there is an attempt at paragraphing, the logical progression is hindered by the inaccurate data reporting. Cohesive devices are used sparingly and sometimes incorrectly, such as the mechanical use of 'Moreover' and 'Similarly'. The lack of a clear introduction and a cohesive conclusion makes the text feel disjointed. To improve, use a clear structure: an introduction, an overview of the main trends, and two body paragraphs grouping the sectors logically (e.g., those that increased vs. those that decreased).

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. You rely on basic terms like 'increase' and 'down fall'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'economy fallen down' and 'jobs got lesser'. The spelling error 'dtarted' also detracts from the quality. To reach a higher band, you should incorporate more precise vocabulary related to data description, such as 'fluctuated', 'peaked', 'declined', or 'remained stable', and ensure that you use these terms in the correct context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Graph shows', 'retail sector it dtarted'), missing articles (e.g., 'in retail sector'), and awkward sentence construction. The range of structures is limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence structure, including the correct use of articles and verb tenses. Ensure that your sentences are complete and grammatically sound before attempting more complex structures.
