The graph below gives information about the number of jobs in four sectors of the economy in the US between 1960 and 2020.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.5)
Illustrated by the graph is the number of employment in four different fields of the economy in the United States from 1960 to 2020, measured in millions.
Overall, it is immediately apparent that manufacturing had a slight increase but subsequently underwent a significant decline, and agriculture experienced a decrease over the years. Meanwhile, retail and healthcare witnessed a significant growth during the periods.
We can see from the data that manufacturing had a decrease from around 15 in 1960 to roughly 20 by 1980 (the maximum shown). Afterwards, the figures for manufacturing decreased sharply over the years. Secondly, agriculture fell from approximately 7 in 1960 to around 4 by 1980. After two decades, the figures for that decreased slowly from about 4 to around 3 in the last remaining the years. However, retail and healthcare showed different patterns, in which the numbers increased significantly over the periods. The former rose from about 6 to around 16, and the latter increased from approximately 3 to roughly 16.
