Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to meet the minimum length requirement of 150 words, coming in at only 100 words. While the writer attempts to describe some features of the graph, such as the trends in agriculture, healthcare, and retail, the overview is missing, and the data is often imprecise or lacks specific figures. Furthermore, the explanation for manufacturing attributing the decline to Artificial Intelligence in the year 2000 brings in outside knowledge not reflected in standard economic trends for that exact period, and overall the task is only partially addressed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0
The response is written as a single block paragraph without proper paragraphing. Cohesive devices are either missing or misused, such as 'In last,' which leads to poor logical progression. Reference words are sometimes unclear, and the overall arrangement lacks clear structure.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.5
The vocabulary used is very basic and repetitive (e.g., 'jobs', 'increased', 'popular'), with noticeable errors in word choice and collocation such as 'Agriculture job was high' and 'retail jobs got chance to increase'. The lexical range is limited and minimally adequate for conveying very basic points, but frequent unnatural phrasing impedes smooth reading.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5
The writer relies on simple and basic sentence structures, with frequent grammatical errors. Examples include 'Every job has his own chance with a time', 'getting no any benefit from it', and 'becuase of population increased'. Punctuation and article use are also problematic throughout the response, causing some difficulty for the reader.
