The graph below gives information about the number of jobs in four sectors of the economy in the US between 1960 and 2020.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The Following line graph illustrates the numerous number of jobs in the United States of America between the period of 1960 to 2020 in four different field of economy.

overall, the graph demonstrates the four sectors including manufacturing, agriculture, healthcare and retail. Healthcare jobs was gradually increased over the period. Agriculture started with great number of jobs but it slightly rose.

The graph shows the four sectors of jobs. Jobs represented in millions of digits. Healthcare started with mid point of the 0 and 5 million. IT gradually climed over the period of of 1960 and 2020. It recorded highest number of jobs at above 15 millions in 2020. Moreover, Agriculture was stood at above 5 millions in 1960 and fell down to halfway of 0 and 5 million in 2020. furthermore, retail was recorded at also above 5 millions jobs after that it reach a peek of above 15 millions jobs in 2020. Ultimately, manufacturing intially stood at 15 millions jobs in the period of 1960 but it steadily went down to mid point of 15 million and 10 million.
