The graph below gives information about the number of jobs in four sectors of the economy in the US between 1960 and 2020.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The bar graph provides the information about the numbers of jobs in different sectors in the United States during 1960 to 2020.

Overall, it can be witnessed that the manufacturing job sector had highest demand, Whereas in agriculture sector it has the lowest demand. In the last given year it can be seen that the heathcare and retail sector it was same demand.

Moving with, in 1960 year agriculture and retail sectors job was nearly 5 millions , whereas in healthcare sector 2.5 millions jobs were available. In 1980 in agriculture sector the jobs were decreased by alomost 2.5 millions and 5 million jobs were increased in retail sector. In healthcare sector jobs were increased which was 5 million.

Furturemore, in 2000 year agriculture sectors jobs were available same as perivious year which was 2.5 million, and in healthcare sector nearly 1 million jobs were increased. In 2020 year agriculture sector the jobs were decreased by nearly 1.5 million.
