The graph below gives information about the number of jobs in four sectors of the economy in the US between 1960 and 2020.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The line graph illustrates the amount of jobs in Manufacturing, retail, agriculture and healthcare in Us from 1960 to 2020.

Overall, the jobs in healthcare centre remained at its heighst over the period, by contras in manufacturing sector a dramtic fall can b seen after rose up. The other two sectors remained flactuated over the period.

In 1960, jobs in agriculture showed a rise around 6 million, furthermore there is a huge declined in jobs and it remained 2 million in 2020. On the other hand, the number of jobs in manufacturing sectors remaind at its peak at around 15 millon before fell down to 12 million in 2020.

The ammount of jobs in healthcare first show a steady rise, Moreover after 1980, a it increased daramticly at around 15 million in 2000. In retail sector jobs are also increase at around 15 million and stayed steady till the end of the year.
