Student answer (Band 5.0)
This line grapgh elaborates the number of jobs in manufacturing, retail, agriculture and healthcare sectors in between 1960 till 2020 in US economy.
Overall this chart explains the updaward and downward trends, explains the economic conditions in US, such as there is a upward trend in manufacturing, retail and healthcare sector in between 1960 to 1980 shows the growth and employement in these three sectors.
However, it has also been observed that the manufacturing sector contineusly falling down after year 1980. whereas the healtcare sectors drastically increases over past couple of years explains the people and the government of US are more concerned about the peoples health. Beside this the retail sector has also increases and almost the same in year 2020 wise verse to the manufacturing sectors that is why there is a fall down in manufacturing sector.
People are more intrested in retail rather manufacturing goods.
Inaddition, the agriculture sector is performing well as there is a downward trend in between 1960 till 1980 then stagnent growth for 20 years and after year 2000 again decreases, shows people prefer to work in retail and helthcare. There is a shortage of labor in agriculture sector.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response covers all four sectors (manufacturing, retail, agriculture, and healthcare) and attempts to report main features and make comparisons. However, there are significant inaccuracies in data interpretation. For instance, the student states there is an upward trend in manufacturing between 1960 and 1980 (which is correct, rising from 15 to 20 million), but claims retail and healthcare also increased similarly, whereas healthcare actually started very low at 2 million in 1960. Furthermore, the explanation for trends introduces unsupported speculation ('explains the people and the government of US are more concerned about the peoples health'). The overview is somewhat confused by grammatical issues. Task Achievement is placed at band 5.0.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an introduction, an overview paragraph, and body sentences, but paragraphing is poorly structured and disjointed (several single-sentence paragraphs). Cohesive devices are either misused or absent, leading to mechanical and choppy transitions (e.g., 'However, it has also been observed...', 'Beside this...', 'Inaddition,...'). Logical progression is hindered by repetitive phrasing and weak referencing, such as 'wise verse' instead of 'conversely'. Overall organization lacks clear cohesive flow, placing this criterion at band 5.0.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is relatively basic and repetitive, with several spelling errors ('grapgh', 'updaward', 'employement', 'contineusly', 'healtcare', 'intrested', 'Inaddition', 'stagnent'). There are also inappropriate lexical choices, such as 'wise verse' for vice versa, and unnatural collocations. While the student attempts some less common vocabulary ('drastically increases', 'shortage of labor'), the high frequency of spelling and word-form errors impedes clear communication in places. This corresponds to band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentences, but grammatical control is weak. There are frequent run-on sentences and comma splices, such as in the second paragraph where multiple independent clauses are joined improperly ('Overall this chart explains... such as there is a upward trend...'). Errors occur in tense consistency, prepositions ('in between 1960 till 2020 in US economy'), and verb forms ('sector contineusly falling down', 'retail sector has also increases'). These errors cause some difficulty for the reader, justifying a band 5.0.
