Student answer (Band 5.0)
The provided data is of line graph which illustrated significant information regarding the quantity of jobs in four departments of the economy in US from 1960 to 2020.
Overall, if we look closely graph comprises catagories the maximum number of jobs are in manufacturing while in contrast the lowest jobs are in agriculture. One noticable thing is that jobs in healthcare decreased gradually among the trend while x axis shows year and y axis gives jobs in millions.
In 1960 the ratio of jobs in manufacturing is highest till 1980 which about 20 million but after this period their graph goes downward on the other hand, jobs in retail and agriculture also increased about the difference of 2.5million of healthcare, However, retail graph stops at 2000 and remain stable till 2020.
About 7 million jobs of agriculture are available in 1960 but they are limited till 1980 about 2 million and remain the constant all over the period.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
The student attempts to cover the main trends in the line graph, noting manufacturing, agriculture, retail, and healthcare. However, there are significant inaccuracies in data reporting. For instance, the student states that 'jobs in healthcare decreased gradually among the trend', whereas the graph clearly shows healthcare rising from 2 million in 1960 to 16 million in 2020. Similarly, the claim that 'retail graph stops at 2000 and remain stable till 2020' misinterprets the data, as retail actually increases from 15 to 16 million. Furthermore, confusing statements like 'ratio of jobs in manufacturing is highest till 1980 which about 20 million but after this period their graph goes downward' show an incomplete and imprecise summary of the overall task requirements.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response is divided into paragraphs, but the logical flow and progression are weak. The introduction is poorly constructed ('The provided data is of line graph which illustrated...'). Cohesive devices are used awkwardly or incorrectly, such as 'if we look closely graph comprises catagories the maximum number of jobs are...' and 'However, retail graph stops at 2000'. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal paragraph cohesion frequently breaks down due to run-on sentences and a lack of clear referencing, making the progression of ideas difficult to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The lexical range is limited and repetitive. The student relies on basic terminology and makes noticeable word choice and spelling errors, such as 'catagories' instead of categories, and 'noticable' instead of noticeable. Expressions like 'quantity of jobs in four departments' are unnatural; 'sectors' would be more appropriate. Phrases like 'ratio of jobs' are misused when referring to absolute numbers in millions. While meaning can sometimes be extracted, lexical errors and inaccuracies are frequent and impede natural communication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, and attempts at complex sentences frequently result in faulty syntax and punctuation errors. Examples include 'The provided data is of line graph which illustrated significant information...' (tense inconsistency and missing articles) and 'About 7 million jobs of agriculture are available in 1960 but they are limited till 1980 about 2 million and remain the constant all over the period.' There is a lack of control over basic subject-verb agreement and preposition use. Errors are frequent and often cause difficulty for the reader.
