Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses the task partially by identifying the main trends and making some comparisons between the four sectors. However, the information is incomplete and stops abruptly mid-sentence, leaving the description of manufacturing and agriculture unfinished. The overview attempts to capture the key shifts, noting that healthcare and retail surged while agriculture and manufacturing declined, but the limited development and failure to complete the response prevent it from achieving a higher score. To improve, you should ensure all key data points are fully reported and your response is completed with a clear conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is some organisation in the response, with an introductory paragraph, an overview, and initial attempts at body paragraphs. However, the overall progression is disrupted by the abrupt ending of the text. Cohesive devices are occasionally used, such as 'Overall,' and 'First and formost,' but some are mechanically applied or inaccurate. Paragraphing is attempted, but the final section is incomplete. To improve cohesion, use a wider range of logical connectors smoothly and ensure that every paragraph contains a fully developed set of ideas rather than trailing off.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. There are several noticeable lexical errors, word choice inaccuracies, and spelling mistakes, such as 'sector' instead of sectors, 'intrest' instead of interest, 'know' instead of now, 'diminish' instead of diminished, and 'Agricutlure'. These errors reflect an insufficient control of less common vocabulary and word forms. To improve, you should focus on expanding your range of descriptive vocabulary for data trends, such as verbs like 'grow', 'decline', or 'fluctuate', and carefully check your spelling and word forms before finishing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The text demonstrates a very limited range of sentence structures, with frequent grammatical errors that can cause difficulty for the reader. There are issues with subject-verb agreement, such as 'the number of job in four sectors have', prepositional errors like 'comparison on different jobs', and missing articles or incorrect tense usage, as seen in 'current it is standing'. Attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty, and punctuation is inconsistent, including spacing errors around commas. To improve, you need to focus on foundational grammar rules, particularly subject-verb agreement, accurate verb tenses for describing past data, and correct article usage.
