Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

The response attempts to present an overview of the four sectors shown in the line graph, but it contains several inaccuracies regarding the data. For instance, the overview incorrectly claims that both manufacturing and healthcare decreased significantly, whereas healthcare actually rose sharply from 2 million to 16 million. Furthermore, the details provided often misstate the numbers, such as claiming the retail and agriculture sectors increased moderately while misreading the actual trajectories on the graph. The response addresses the task only partially, as the information is limited, under-developed, and contains noticeable factual discrepancies against the visual data.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has some organization into paragraphs, including an introduction and an overview, but there is no clear overall progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used awkwardly or inaccurately, such as the dangling sentence fragment 'Another key feature is that the retail and agriculture sector increased moderatrely throughout the period' standing alone without completing the contrast, and the disconnected phrase 'Followed by'. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the mechanical transitions make the progression difficult to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and repetitive, with several noticeable spelling and word choice errors that cause difficulty for the reader. There are multiple spelling mistakes, such as 'manufacutring', 'signifiacntly', 'moderatrely', 'repaidly', and 'strated'. Furthermore, inappropriate word forms are used, such as 'heathcare' and writing 'manufacturing number reach'. The lexical range is minimally adequate for the task, but the frequency of lexical errors impedes smooth communication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response displays a very limited range of sentence structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and faulty attempts at complex clauses. There are frequent grammatical errors in verb forms, tenses, and prepositions, such as 'The agriculture sector was started from', 'the number of job in agriculture sector was been decreased', and 'The figure for healthcare strated to 3 million in 1960 which was incresing all time'. These frequent errors frequently strain the reader and cause difficulty in understanding the intended meaning.
