Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the task only partially, and additionally, the Length Check confirms that the text falls short of the minimum 150-word requirement, totaling only 140 words. While you attempted to cover all four sectors, some of the data reported contains inaccuracies or contradictions when compared against the visual data. For instance, you state that agriculture increased from six to three millions in twenty years, which is mathematically contradictory. Furthermore, the overview is limited and lacks precision regarding the overall trends across the entire sixty-year period.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is some basic organization with an introduction, body details, and an overall concluding sentence, but the response lacks clear overall progression. Paragraphing is underutilized and bunched together, particularly in the body section where multiple sectors are crammed into a single block of text. Cohesive devices are minimal and repetitive, and referencing between sentences is sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the logical development of ideas smoothly throughout the report.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your vocabulary range is limited and minimally adequate for the task. You attempt some less common vocabulary such as 'dramatically' and 'surged', but these are often accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice, form, and collocation, such as 'slightly get down', 'increse', and 'boost to 16 million'. Spelling mistakes like 'wew' and 'millons' also occur, which causes some difficulty for the reader and prevents the writing from reaching a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response features a very limited range of sentence structures, relying primarily on simple sentences with frequent basic errors. There are numerous grammatical inaccuracies, including subject-verb agreement issues like 'Manufacturing jobs wes' and tense confusion, such as stating 'Agriculture jobs in 1960 was... after 20 years it incresed to 3 millions' when the graph actually shows a drop from six to three. Punctuation errors, such as missing spaces after full stops, and awkward prepositions within grammatical patterns are frequent and cause strain for the reader.
