Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify relevant features, including manufacturing as a major sector and agriculture as the smallest by 2020, and you mention several figures. However, the overview is not fully accurate: manufacturing peaked at 20 million in 1980, rather than remaining the highest throughout, and by 2020 retail and healthcare were both about 16 million. Some details are misreported or unclear: retail rose from 6 to 10, 15 and 16 million, but you say it “shink” and do not describe its upward trend; manufacturing fell after 1980, not after 2000. The response therefore covers the graph only partially, with limited and sometimes unclear reporting. Select the main trends accurately and compare the sectors across the period in a clear overview and supporting details.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is a basic attempt to organise the response with an introduction, an overview and two body paragraphs. The sequence from manufacturing and healthcare to retail and agriculture gives the reader some sense of grouping, and phrases such as “Overall” and “Moreover” signal connections. However, progression is difficult to follow because several sentences are incomplete or unclear, and the comparisons are not consistently developed. For example, “In both of you very different” does not explain the contrast, while “in 2000 to 2020 is stble it” leaves the retail trend unresolved. Linking words are sometimes inaccurate or mechanical. Use one paragraph for the overview and organise the details by clear trends, with each sentence stating a complete comparison.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary suited to describing a graph, including “increased,” “decreased,” “stable” and “proportion,” and you use some relevant sector names. However, the range is limited and many word-choice, spelling and collocation errors make the meaning difficult to recover. Examples include “Manufactring,” “shink,” “peck up,” “Bundle,” “frtune” and “pulment”; these do not communicate the intended trends reliably. Phrases such as “highest peak” and “job proportion” are also unnatural in this context. Build a reliable set of trend expressions and check spelling carefully. Prefer precise, familiar wording such as “rose steadily,” “fell to,” “reached a peak of,” and “remained stable,” rather than attempting unclear alternatives.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response includes some simple sentences and attempts to connect ideas with clauses, as in “However, Healthcare economy only stood at 2millions, but after they normally increased…”. However, sentence structures are limited, and errors are frequent enough to obscure relationships between figures and time periods. Examples include “Manufacturing job had the highest peak,” “In 2000, Manufactring is decreased,” and “agriculture is dropped,” where tense and sentence construction are not controlled. Articles, plurals and agreement are also inconsistent, as in “the least proportion” and “they stable.” Punctuation and capitalisation are uneven, with sentence starts often in lowercase. Practise accurate past-tense reporting and complete subject–verb sentences before adding more complex clauses.
