Student answer (Band 5.0)
Tall apartment should be built in the large urban area for the effecient way to provide enough of the house. In my opinion, there can be different dimension to this statement on the ground level, like, it can consume more space due to high population rate and the building can not process more than 40 to 50 floors.
Travel is our basic need in present days, however, if one house is having that many rooms in the ground level then their is no parking area left. Also, before parking their is no roads constructed in the metropolitan cities due to the density of the population. Another reason for this is, rain water and drainage. Most of the time the drainge does not work properly, so if their is not water outlet then the water will be stagnant. By this, flood situation can occur due to high rainfall. Example: In the north-east area in India, flood conditions are natural, they only build 2 to 3 story houses for pervention.
On of the popular case happened in the recent years is the collapse of a building, that was the shelter to 100 to 150 students studying in a college. Height of the building was more than the average height of the houses. More than 20 students died, by this incident. Moreover, if any house or shelter can manage to have the floors, but it is going to trap the sulnight that was supposed to reach the short plants for growth. After some time most of the plants near the house will be going to die by the insufficiency of sunlight.
Conclusion, goverenment should give instructions on the maximum height that can be aquired by the house or the apartment for safety purpose. Lastly, it can be good to have floors but not in an excessive number.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You take a position against building excessively tall blocks and give several relevant reasons, including safety, flooding, and reduced sunlight for plants. The example of a building collapse also supports your concern about safety. However, the response only partially addresses the central question: it does not clearly compare tall apartment blocks with other ways of providing enough homes, and the opening discussion of roads, parking, and drainage is not consistently connected to how high-rise housing affects these issues. Your position is also not fully clear at first, since you initially say tall apartments should be built before arguing against excessive height. Develop a more direct argument about whether high-rise blocks are the best solution, and explain each example’s relevance.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and the paragraphs broadly group concerns such as infrastructure, safety, and sunlight. This gives the reader some organisation. However, the overall progression is not always clear: the first paragraph moves from travel to parking, roads, and drainage without showing how these points connect to the proposal. Linking phrases such as “Another reason” and “Moreover” are used, but some connections are unclear or mechanical, and the conclusion introduces a maximum-height recommendation without fully drawing together the earlier points. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main argument, then explain the link between examples and the question. Clearer referencing would also help readers follow what “this” refers to.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “population,” “metropolitan cities,” “drainage,” “collapse,” and “insufficiency of sunlight,” which helps communicate your concerns. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning difficult to follow. For example, “different dimension to this statement on the ground level” does not clearly express your intended point, while “process more than 40 to 50 floors” is not a natural way to describe a building’s height. There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “effecient,” “drainge,” and “goverenment.” Aim for precise, natural phrases and check spelling carefully; the suggestions below offer alternatives drawn from your response.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional and cause-and-effect structures, but complex sentences are often faulty and errors occur frequently enough to make some ideas harder to understand. Examples include “there can be different dimension,” “their is no parking area left,” and “if any house or shelter can manage to have the floors,” where agreement, sentence construction, or clause formation is inaccurate. Articles and plurals also need attention, as in “Tall apartment” and “the house or the apartment.” Some sentences are understandable, but the repeated errors reduce clarity. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses, checking agreement, articles, and punctuation in each sentence.
