Student answer (Band 4.5)
Numerous indiviuals hold the view that the best way to provide enough homes in large cities is to build tall apartment blocks. I firmly disagree with this perspective. This essay will discuss logical reasons along with real-life experiences to provide a clear understanding to the reader.
The primary reason I hold this view is that some people don't like the idea about living with society with full of citizens. Moreover, many people loves peace they don't like if someone ruin their tranquility. Some families are busy in their weekdays with their work and sometimes their work had been so hecktik that they want rest and peace in their weekends. The reason they don't like the concept of living in a group full of people live near to each other. For example, one of my friend live in building which is fully crowded all the time. Our mid terms exams came and she came to my home for preparation because last year she can't be able to get goods marks. In conclusion, I strongly beleived that living in a home is far better than living in a building so you can pay much attention to your life.
Another compelling reason is that several indiviuals likes to spend their free time with their families in a quiet home. Futhermore, many people are different to each other. Many times some indiviuals have different religion to each other. sme people have different languages to each other and they don't like the idea to talk to othe people in their second language.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You state a clear disagreement and give reasons related to noise, privacy and family life, so the response is relevant to the question. However, the discussion only partly addresses whether tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide enough homes: it focuses on why some people dislike crowded living, without comparing this option with alternatives or explaining how other housing could meet demand in large cities. The example about your friend preparing for exams is personal but does not clearly show that apartment blocks are unsuitable as a housing solution. The second reason is left unfinished, and the response is 241 words, below the 250-word minimum; the 16 words copied from the prompt are not counted. Develop each reason and connect it directly to the housing question.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has an introduction and two body paragraphs, and signposts such as “The primary reason” and “Another compelling reason” help identify the intended structure. However, progression is difficult to follow because ideas within paragraphs are repeated or loosely connected. For instance, the first body paragraph moves from dislike of crowded living to busy workdays, then to an exam anecdote, without clearly explaining how these points support the claim about providing homes. The example also ends without a clear link back to the argument. The second body paragraph stops after listing differences in religion and language, so there is no developed conclusion to the essay. Use a clear topic sentence, explain each point in sequence, and finish by summarising your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “tranquility,” “crowded,” “quiet home,” and “different religion,” and the reader can generally understand your intended meaning. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, spelling, and collocation errors make the writing less natural. Examples include “living with society with full of citizens,” “many people loves peace,” and “get goods marks.” Spelling errors such as “indiviuals,” “hecktik,” and “beleived” are also noticeable. Aim for accurate, natural phrases rather than repeating “many people” and “different.” For example, you could use “residents,” “overcrowded,” and “prefer a quieter living environment,” while checking spelling and common word combinations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including clauses introduced by “because” and “that,” and your main position is usually understandable. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, and articles. Examples include “many people loves,” “one of my friend live,” and “she can't be able to get goods marks.” The phrase “some people don't like the idea about living with society with full of citizens” is also difficult to follow because the grammatical relationships are unclear. Practise forming accurate subject–verb combinations and past-tense narratives, and build complex sentences around one clear main clause. Proofreading for agreement and sentence boundaries would improve clarity.
