Student answer (Band 5.0)
Many individuals hold the view that it is the only best way to provide homes in large cities to build tall aprtment blocks.I firmly disagree with this perspective. This essay will discuss legal reasons along with real-life experiences to provide a clear understanding to the reader.
The primiry reason I hold for this view is that some people do not like the concept of living with a society full of citizens. Moreover, many people and families prefer to live in a quite place without any disturbance.Furthermore some families do not like the noises creats by the neighbours ,For eaxmple my aunt who used to lives in an apartment with numerous individuals from different backgrounds,However she always wanted to lives in her own home where she can have mental peace from noises created by others. As a result she bought her own house where she is now living the life she always looked for.
An other compeling reason is that many people or families do not want to adjust with people with different culture, langauges and backgrounds. They do not participate in any kind of activity or events.Fo intanse, one of my friend once lived in a community full of Pashto speaking individuals, which makes it more complicated for him to cleary understand their tantrums and their way of living. As a result he left that apartment and now lives in small house in area with people of his pers

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You state a clear disagreement in the opening and give two reasons related to residents’ preferences: wanting quiet and finding cultural or language differences difficult. The personal examples about your aunt and friend make the response relevant. However, the discussion only partly answers whether tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide enough homes. It focuses on why some people may dislike apartment living, without comparing this option with alternatives or explaining how housing supply could be increased. The second example is also incomplete, ending with “people of his pers,” and the ideas are not developed enough to support the position fully. The response is 18 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to explain your reasoning. Develop the comparison and complete the argument.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has an introduction followed by two body paragraphs, and each paragraph presents a distinct reason. Connectors such as “Moreover,” “Furthermore,” and “As a result” help show relationships between ideas. However, progression is sometimes mechanical, with several linking words placed one after another rather than showing a precise logical connection. The second paragraph’s example is unfinished, so the conclusion of that line of reasoning is unclear; there is also no concluding paragraph to restate your position. Some sentence boundaries and punctuation make the flow harder to follow, particularly where a new sentence begins after a comma. Use clearer paragraph development, complete the final example, and add a brief conclusion that ties the reasons back to the question.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “apartment blocks,” “backgrounds,” “disturbance,” and “mental peace,” and the reader can generally understand your intended meaning. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or misspelled choices make the writing less clear, such as “quite place” for a quiet place, “tantrums” where you appear to mean customs or habits, and “compeling.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “live with a society full of citizens” and “adjust with people.” These issues fit a response with basic but usable vocabulary, though errors sometimes cause difficulty. Build a more precise range for discussing housing and urban planning, and check spelling and collocations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including a relative clause in “my aunt who used to lives in an apartment” and a result clause beginning “As a result.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. Examples include “used to lives” instead of “used to live,” “where she can have” after a past-tense account, and “one of my friend” instead of “one of my friends.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in the run-on passage beginning “For eaxmple my aunt.” Practise accurate past-tense narration, subject–verb agreement, articles and plurals, and divide long sentences into complete units. Greater control of these basics would make your ideas easier to follow.
