Student answer (Band 5.5)
It goes without saying that the convenient way to provide homes in large cities is to build tall building that have apartment . I agree with this notion because as the population is increase and cities are getting bigger there must be more residential areas for the community.
One of the primary reason is that people are progressively moving to urban areas for a better quality of life so there must be enough space to provide them of living. Tall building having enough apartments would make a huge difference as they would not be far away from the main city areas.
Secondly, cities are usually expanded by cutting of the woods and civilize the area for people to move in that leads to deforestation dangers such as global warming and extinction of specific animal and plants that are a danger to the enviornment . So to compat that high rising building should be made that would be in the city near to main linking areas and would accompay almost of 200 families in form of apartments.
In conclusion, i agree with this idea because it would provide a lot of chances for people to move into society without the worry of apartment hunting.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You state a clear position—“I agree with this notion”—and give relevant reasons, including accommodating urban growth and reducing pressure to clear woodland. However, the response addresses the task only partially: the reasons are asserted rather than sufficiently explained or supported with a specific example, and the conclusion adds little beyond repeating your agreement. The claim that towers would be “near to main linking areas” also needs explanation to show why this makes them the best solution. The response is 195 words, 55 words below the required minimum; the eight words copied from the prompt were not counted. Develop each reason with a concrete example and consider briefly acknowledging a limitation of high-rise housing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “One of the primary reason” and “Secondly,” and a concluding paragraph. This helps the reader identify your main points. However, progression within the paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several ideas are joined in ways that make their relationship difficult to follow. For example, the sentence beginning “cities are usually expanded by cutting of the woods” moves from deforestation to high-rise buildings without clearly explaining the link. The conclusion is also very brief and does not bring the reasons together. Use clearer topic sentences, explain each connection step by step, and use referencing such as “this approach” to avoid abrupt transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “population,” “residential areas,” “deforestation,” and “global warming,” so the reader can understand the general subject and your reasons. However, the range is limited, and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts of the response awkward or unclear. For instance, “provide them of living” does not express the intended idea naturally, while “cutting of the woods” and “civilize the area” are imprecise in this context. There are also spelling errors, such as “enviornment” and “accompay.” Build a more precise range for discussing housing and urban planning, and check spelling and collocations carefully. The vocabulary suggestions below offer practical alternatives.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “because” and a sentence linking urban expansion with environmental effects. However, errors are frequent, and some sentences are difficult to interpret. Examples include “as the population is increase,” “One of the primary reason,” and “Tall building having enough apartments,” which show problems with verb forms, agreement, and sentence construction. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “build tall building” and “apartment.” Work on forming complete clauses and checking subject–verb agreement, verb forms, and singular/plural nouns. Shorter, accurately controlled sentences would make your ideas clearer before you attempt longer structures.
