Student answer (Band 5.5)

At the present time the best approch to provide suffecent accommodation in large urban areas are make large apartments block for living people. This is becaise there price of land higher and less environment contamination. I would agree this statement.

There are several benefits for large infastucture in the main cities for living. One of them large apaerment bulid in small scal of land. This is because in the urban area land price extrimely high than contryside area. If the partments make in huage scale of land, at the same time their accommodation rent price will increase. In the city centre place are used several purposes and their aparatment tall for use lees land and save primary cost. For example, in Bangladesh the land price of bonani more exapensive for making building, Therefore, people make large tall building for using work or living.

On the other hand, the large apartments help to minimise environmental contaminition. When people live in same apartment and they throw their household waste in certain place. Then city cleaner authority are collected those waste, which are harmful for city environment. For instance, In many nation's capital area people live in large apartment for chep rent and save significant cost. As a result, it helps to people save environment and their living cost.

In conclusion, at the urban areas land price is more higher and more accommodation can affect on city environment. The large apertmrnts can provide sufficent and less price of partments rent. Therefore, people can save some money and also improve city atmosphare by it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You state a clear position in the introduction (“I would agree this statement”) and return to it in the conclusion. The response also gives relevant reasons: tall buildings use limited urban land, and shared housing may help manage waste. However, the discussion only partially develops the question of whether this is the best way to provide enough homes. The land-cost point is repeated, while the environmental argument is not clearly connected to building height or housing supply. The examples about Bangladesh and capital cities are broad and do not show specific outcomes. To strengthen the response, explain how apartment blocks increase the number of homes and compare this approach with a plausible alternative, while developing each example more precisely.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “There are several benefits” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. This gives the reader a basic route through your position and supporting points. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, and the second body paragraph’s contrast marker does not introduce a clearly opposing idea. Several links are mechanical or unclear, such as “Then city cleaner authority are collected those waste,” and the relationship between waste collection and tall apartments is not fully explained. The conclusion also repeats earlier claims rather than drawing them together. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the paragraph’s main reason.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to urban housing, including “land price,” “accommodation,” “environmental contamination,” and “city centre.” These choices show awareness of the topic, but the usable range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the argument harder to understand, for example “infastucture,” “apearment,” “extrimely,” and “atmosphare.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “large apartments block for living people” and “save environment.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations rather than adding more difficult words. Proofread spelling carefully, and learn phrases as units—for example, “high land prices,” “apartment blocks,” and “reduce environmental impact”—so your meaning is clearer and more precise.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a conditional structure (“If the partments make in huage scale of land…”) and a relative clause (“which are harmful for city environment”). However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, and articles can make the reader work to understand your meaning. For example, “the best approch … are make” has an incorrect verb pattern and agreement, while “city cleaner authority are collected” has problems with the subject and verb form. “I would agree this statement” also needs a grammatical construction with “with.” Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses, checking articles and verb forms in each sentence.
