Student answer (Band 5.5)

Many individuals think that high rise building apartments blocks is the beneficial way to provide sufficient homes. However, I totally agree with this statement because our population is increasing day by day. So, there must be needed of houses for all people.

Nowadays, the number of peole is rapidly increasing in the cities because they can get enough work facilities and there life would be more convenient rather than living in rural places. Additionally, the population is mostly rising over the years. So, for the huge population, there will need of their living place. That's why, it is hard to find any empty place in urban areas. In these area, new tall buildings are constructed continiously. In addition, it could be advantages for all people because they can get houses for living and can find it easily as there plenty of buildings are constructed. For example, in New York Times had shown a report that there are huge amount of buildings are creating and it is increased the ratio over 5 years. As, population is increasing so it can be an advantage for people.

On the other hand, for building high rise appartments can be disadvantages also. As, there are not any empty fleid of place can be found, people can not find greenary environment at all. there must be lack of trees and also oxygen. It can be serious issue for our world. As a result, goldal warming woulb be increased in the world. Additionally, world would be effected alot. It can be created so many issues for people health and also children would not get any place for their playing activities which will led to their poor brain and social development also. For instance, one of my cousins is suffering from brain issue at her age of eight. Doctors said that it is happen because she is always being busy with smart devices as she did not get any field for her playing.

In conclusion, some people take the view that the fruitful way to provide houses in big urban places is to create tall appartments. As population is increasing that's why I agree with this statement.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you agree that tall apartment blocks can help meet housing demand, and you give reasons related to urban population growth and limited space. The response also considers a drawback, including reduced green space and fewer places for children to play. However, the argument is only partly developed. The claim that high-rise construction makes homes easy to find is asserted rather than explained, and the New York Times example is vague and does not clearly support the point. The cousin anecdote is also weak evidence for the effects of apartment blocks. To strengthen the response, explain more directly how building upward increases housing capacity and weigh that benefit against the environmental and social costs.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph supporting high-rise housing, a paragraph presenting disadvantages, and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify your main position. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several ideas are linked mechanically through repeated forms such as “So,” “Additionally,” and “As a result.” The second body paragraph moves from a lack of green space to global warming, health, children’s development, and a personal example without clearly showing how each point connects to the central argument. Some references, such as “these area” and “it,” are also unclear. Use topic sentences, develop one main point at a time, and make links between claims explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “population,” “urban areas,” “greenary environment,” and “social development,” so the main subject is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “high rise building apartments blocks,” “there will need of their living place,” and “the fruitful way to provide houses.” Spelling errors such as “peole,” “continiously,” and “appartments” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural phrases and check spelling carefully. For example, use established expressions such as “high-rise apartment blocks,” “housing demand,” and “access to green space” rather than translating ideas word by word.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “as,” and “which.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to understand. For example, “there will need of their living place” lacks a correct grammatical structure, while “it is increased the ratio over 5 years” has an incorrect verb form. There are also problems with agreement and sentence boundaries, as in “these area” and the lowercase “there” after a full stop. Practise building accurate sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check articles, plurals, verb forms, and punctuation before submitting.
