Student answer (Band 5.0)
In temporary livining era, building tall apartment blocks in cities is only the significant way to resolve homes issues.
as in our modern wold population is growing fast and the needs for new homes in began to be crucial especially for people who leave their own country to immigrant in a new culture and new society, therefore the goverment should provide individuals with their necessary needs for living by expanding building and creating new appartment when famillies can gathered together, Morever with providing new building this can develop civilization and solidarity which is every country target, also it can asisst people wo can not afford money to by home so they can live in appartment and pay the rent,I think this is the positive aspect of building tall appartment.
However, we can't ignore the negative aspect of those building and this aspect which i stand for,due to many disadvantages i recoginze when i was living in apartment, firstly i wasn't able to have my own time to stay in calm for instance i came from work then i went to sleep and suddenly i heard my neighbour playing music in the middle of the night ,that annoys me a lot and it affect my mental health and my body as well, additionally the palce of these appartments often be in noisy places where you can't find places to spend your free time in, as a result of expanding bulding the green spaces will become limited which will negatively affect the ecological balance. and leads to depression and isolation
in conclusion, altough the tall apartment blocks becomes more popular in modern life, and it has transformed how we live and how we act, however it still negatively affact the society and the environments, these venues provide valuable to our daily life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address the topic and give a personal view, especially when describing the benefits of providing rental apartments and the drawbacks you experienced as a resident. However, your position is not consistently clear: the opening calls tall blocks “the significant way” to solve housing problems, while the body and conclusion emphasise their negative effects. The response also does not fully examine whether they are the best way to provide enough homes; it focuses more on general benefits and problems of apartment living. Develop a clear position and support it with specific reasoning—for example, compare high-rise construction with other ways of increasing housing supply, and explain why one approach is preferable.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an introduction, two main paragraphs and a conclusion, and the contrast between benefits and drawbacks gives it some organisation. However, progression within paragraphs is difficult to follow because several points are joined into long, crowded sentences. The first body paragraph moves from immigration and housing needs to solidarity and affordability without clearly explaining the links. Connectors such as “therefore,” “Moreover,” and “additionally” are used, but they do not always make the relationships between ideas clear. The conclusion also introduces an unclear final claim about the venues providing value. Use one main idea per paragraph, develop it in a logical sequence, and make references and transitions more precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “population,” “green spaces,” “ecological balance,” and “mental health,” which helps communicate relevant ideas. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response difficult to understand, such as “livining,” “appartment,” “immigrant,” and “venues provide valuable.” Some phrases are also imprecise, including “the significant way” and “expanding building.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise expressions such as “a key way to address the housing shortage” and “increase the housing supply” would help you explain your argument clearly without relying on repeated references to buildings and apartments.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to express complex relationships using clauses and linking words, for example in the sentence beginning “as in our modern wold population is growing fast.” However, complex sentences are often faulty or run together, and this sometimes makes the meaning hard to follow. There are frequent problems with sentence boundaries, verb forms, agreement, articles and punctuation. For instance, “the needs for new homes in began to be crucial” has an unclear grammatical structure, while “it affect my mental health” does not maintain correct subject–verb agreement. The conclusion also joins contrasting ideas without effective punctuation. Practise building shorter, complete sentences first, then combine them accurately using subordinate clauses and appropriate punctuation.
