Student answer (Band 6.0)

Homes in large cities are mandatory for public to live in their private space. I completely agree with the view of having tall apartment blocks to fulfill home requirements in big, populated and developed cities.

Large cities required more houses due to their high population. Meanwhile, to solve the issue of providing more houses in less space the only solution comes in mind is the construction of tall building blocks that contain hundreds or thousands of apartment for public instead of having residantial area. These building blocks help organization to maintain and organize the cities in well structure way. For instance it is difficult to provide thousands of electric, gas and water connection to houses society but providing one connection to tall building and give sub connection to apartment require less effort or low budget help organization to maintain cities in a better way.

Furthermore, more houses required specific road access and required huge number of streets, seperate park areas and seperate market place that covers the 90% areas of cities. Instead of this, apartment ideas can help in having one big public park and one huge marketplace. These building blocks can solve multiple public problems like traffic issues, parking issues, individuals safety issues help inn better organization of developed, populated cities.

To conclude, large cities consist of thousands of houses due to their increasing number of citizen live in it and every person require house to live his private life with his family but, these houses required a lot of space while, construction of large tall building blocks can provide huge number of apartments and solve the homme issue in big cities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction: you completely agree that tall apartment blocks are the best way to meet housing needs in large cities. You give relevant reasons, including using less land, simplifying utility provision, and reducing the need for separate roads, parks, and markets. These points address the task and show why you favour high-rise housing. However, some support is asserted rather than fully explained: for example, the claim that apartment blocks can help with traffic and safety would be stronger with a specific explanation or example. The discussion also focuses mainly on advantages and does not consider any limitation or clarify why this is the best approach compared with alternatives. The response is purposeful, but fuller development and more precise support would strengthen it further.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present reasons, and a conclusion restates your position. The ideas generally progress from the need to house a large population to the practical benefits of shared infrastructure. Linking expressions such as “Meanwhile,” “Furthermore,” and “To conclude” help signal this progression. At times, however, connections between claims are abrupt or unclear. The long sentence beginning “These building blocks can solve multiple public problems” lists several benefits without showing how each follows from the previous point. Some linking language also feels mechanical, and the conclusion largely repeats earlier points rather than drawing them together. Clearer internal sequencing and more explicit links between each reason and its example would improve cohesion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use vocabulary relevant to urban housing, including “population,” “construction,” “residential area,” “utility” concepts, and “traffic issues.” This gives you enough topic-related language to communicate your main ideas. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “mandatory for public to live,” “building blocks” when you mean apartment buildings, and “houses society.” Spelling errors, including “residantial,” “seperate,” and “homme,” also reduce accuracy. Some key words, especially “houses,” “cities,” and “building blocks,” are repeated rather than replaced with suitable alternatives. Aim for more precise phrases such as “housing demand,” “high-rise apartment buildings,” and “residential neighbourhoods,” and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a subordinate clause in “Large cities required more houses due to their high population” and a longer explanation beginning “These building blocks help organization…”. Your meaning is generally understandable, and the response has a recognisable sentence structure. However, some errors in agreement, articles, plurals, and sentence construction remain. For example, “Large cities required” should use a present-tense verb, while “every person require” needs subject–verb agreement. The sentence beginning “Instead of having residential area” is difficult to follow because its comparison is not grammatically complete, and the final sentence contains several clauses joined with unclear punctuation. More accurate control of verb forms and clearer division of long sentences would make your ideas easier to read.
